Yesterday, Adam announced that his fan site was finally up and running. Naturally, I clicked over. The fan site looks awesome -- great photos, nice navigability, cool lookin' features. None of that is the truly sparkly part, though. No, the truly sparkly part is that when I clicked over I saw that there were VIP Meet & Greet packages already on sale!!! Holy moly smokes!!!!! Several frantic phone calls/texts later and coolwhipdiva and I have M&Gs for the New Orleans show and llandaffaz and I have M&Gs for the first Atlanta show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *flails wildly* I think it's going to take a little while longer for me to fully process the sheer awesomeness of this! Eeeeee! *flails more*

You may be hearing several reiterations of this flailiness over the next three weeks. JSYK.

And then my Saturday just kept sparkling harder. Several months ago, I helped out with some of the production costs for Cheek's webisode project, "Front Men," and recently he sent me a couple of copies of the DVD, one of them very graciously signed, and a lovely thank you note. Silly boy even included a package of popcorn, so that the proper snacks could be enjoyed while watching! *laughs* Anyhow, last night zoniduck and llandaff came by for a "Front Men" watch party. There was pizza and all manner of yummy snacks, including some very delish cupcakes with pink sparkles! We watched "Front Men," and laughed, and quoted, and laughed some more, and then we ate more sparkly cupcakes and girl talked until way too late! It was awesome-times! And "Front Men" is hysterical!!! I can't wait until the world can enjoy it too! (Also, L.A. peeps, I'll bring the DVD with me when I'm in town next month, so watch party at J's! *g*)

It's Friday!!! Although, I discovered this morning that Friday doesn't carry the same level of excitement when you haven't been slogging through work for the previous five days. *shrugs* Oh, well. It's still FRIDAY!!! I think Friday's, whether or not they come at the end of a work week, should be full of fun and sparkly things!

:: llandaffaz and I made a completely unplanned trip to Albuquerque on Tuesday for Adam Lambert's show. It was at a teeny-tiny theater that only held about 800 people, we found out Monday night around 11 that we could buy tickets off of someone, it was only about a 7 hour drive, my calendar was suddenly completely clear *g*, so we figured, what the hell. SPONTANEITY FTW!!!

It was a little weird to discover that this Albuquerque crowd was probably the rudest, most obnoxious GA crowd I've been in, including metal shows! Seriously, 300 pound dude, there's no need to push over a 12 year old girl to get closer to the stage. She's about 4 feet tall and weighs all of 90 pounds soaking wet; I'm sure you can see just fine standing behind her. And really, people, this was Adam Lambert we're watching; WE SPARKLE WE DON'T MOSH!!! Ugh. There were so many people thrown out, and I ended up getting the 12 year olds in front of me so that I could at least keep some of the rude shoving and pushing off of them.

But despite the rude and obnoxious crowd (which is really SO strange for an Adam show, as just about everyone else I've encountered has been super nice), there were some awesome people there too. I ended up partying it up standing next to the most gorgeous gay couple in Albuquerque, seriously these boys were SO pretty and touchy and distracting even with Adam on the stage! And the adorable gay teenager in front of us in line who was just as excited to see Tommy as he was Adam and who was practically vibrating with joy after the show filled me with glee!!! And the show was AMAZING!!! Vicki and I had a blast!


:: So You Think You Can Dance!!!! I'm so pleased with the final three. With the exception of Alex who was knocked out by injury and Billy Bell, who was eliminated last week, these were my favorites from the start. I was driving home on Wednesday night, so I didn't get to watch the performance episode, but I finally found Kent and Neil's contemporary piece, choreographed by Travis Wall. I might have watched this about a dozen times already, and if you haven't seen it yet, I'm sorry about your life! GodDAMN. Those three boys make magic together.


:: Cheeks as the gay equivalent of Blanche Devereaux in a theater remake of The Golden Girls!!!! This sounds like the most fantastically hilarious thing ever!!! There is no way that coolwhipdiva and I are not going to be there for this epic fabulosity!

Monday is being an obstructionist bitch, and I can't watch this a 100 times like it so deserves to be watched, or flail over all the magical people partying like it's the last day of Burning Man on my computer screen, or squee over the outfits and the makeup and the general FABULOUSNESS of this video. But I'm putting it here so I can come back and do all those things later, but also so that y'all can do all those things too! Watch this people! Spot the Cheeks! Did you see Cassidy? How 'bout Alisan? And Allison??? They're all there! And more!!! And Adam looks and sounds amazing! Eeeee!!! I love this video!

My state sucks. I'm relocating to Glam Nation. *nods*

There has been a great deal of fabulosity lately, but first a few less than fabulous things:

- Kurt Warner announced his retirement from the NFL today after a 12-year career. Man, I'm gonna miss him. He's been such a huge part of the Cardinals franchise and its turnaround. And he's just a damn good guy and there's just not enough of those in this world. All the best to you, Kurt. May you find nothing but success and happiness in whatever the next 12 years bring your way.

- Did I really read that they're doing a 6th season of Supernatural??? Man, if that's the case, then I think I'm just done. I mean, I've barely been able to muster up enough interest to watch this season (I still haven't watched last week's or this week's episodes!) and I am SO not entertained by Kripke's tumbling of the fourth wall anymore, but if on top of that they brought on the damn apocalypse and they're still not going to wrap this damn thing after 5 like they've said ALL ALONG, then I just don't think I have it in me to care anymore! Ugh. Supernatural, why did you kill my love for you??? We had such a beautiful thing going and now you've gone and tainted it!

Ok, but what of all that fabulosity I mentioned?

Well, let's start with Cheeks' new music video for Instant Gratification. I'll just say this: I highly suggest that you not press play until you're either very drunk or very stoned. I am firmly convinced that this would have been the most BRILLIANT thing ever, if only I'd waited to watch it when I was high!



Now that you didn't listen to me and played that anyway, am I right or am I right? Wouldn't that be just the most amazing thing ever if you watched it stoned??? Oh, Cheeks, baby, you amuse me so. Never stop. *g*

Also, have a mentioned this one dude named Adam??? Yeah, probably not. *g*

Well, anyway, today is his birthday!!!! 28 years old young FABULOUS! And, it's only fitting that on his birthday, we managed to secure OMFG SUCH AMAZING SEATS for his show next month!!!!!!! It was a concerted effort by a lot of truly amazing people. But tickets have been purchased, rooms booked, and next month we will be ROCKING THE HELL OUTA THE DESERT!!!! My mom is even going with me and she's so excited about it! And two of the girls from work are going with me too! It's gonna be a ROADTRIP!!! Off the fuckin' chain!!! *bounces*

Whew. There's been a great deal more fabulosity in the past 48 hours, but I'll just have to tell y'all about later. All that awesomeness is a bit exhausting. But SO worth it!

Work has totally been interfering with my internet time this week. Unacceptable. But while busy, things are still really good. We're really putting together a good plan for growing the criminal defense practice; I've got some really challenging litigation cases on my plate; I'm getting to work with and learn from some of the best litigators in the state. And I may even be doing a t.v. spot soon for an "ask the expert" type show on one of the Spanish language stations, but I don't have any of the details yet. Yikes! Sometimes, though, I feel like such a fraud, as if I'm mostly just faking my way through my professional life. I know this really isn't true, but the feeling of "oh, hell, I don't know what I'm doing" is often just below the surface of competency. One of my early mentors once said that this feeling never really goes away, and that it, in fact, helped to keep him sharp, always on his toes. I don't know whether that's true, and I'd rather think that eventually I'll start believing that I know what I'm doing, because I really do, but some days, man, are just duct taped together with a constant mantra of "fake it 'til you make it."

In less weighty musings, can I just say how pleased I am that my D'backs have actually been playing some baseball lately? Mark Reynolds has been freakin' on fire all through this clusterfuck of a season. I'm so happy to see him actually play to his potential. And Conor Jackson is finally starting a rehab stint. Poor baby has been so sick and I'm not sure if he'll be able to salvage anything of this season, but I'm glad to see he's finally on the mend. I may never forgive A.J. the Faux Manager for yanking Chris' starter position, but he did well in calling up Trent Oeltjen from Reno. This kid is amazing! Five games in the bigs and he's got 3 home runs, a handful of stolen bases, spectacular plays in the outfield, 5 RBIs, and a ( SMILE THAT WILL LIGHT UP YOUR WORLD! )

He's had this big, goofy grin on his face since he was called up. Adorable! And he's got this ridiculously sexy Australian accent! Mmmm, yeah, he can totally stay! *g*

Let's see, what else? Oh, yeah, I finally got caught up on Merlin. Talk about pretty boys who can totally stay! That show is completely ridiculous, but the eye candy is just irresistible!

Since we're on the topic of ridiculously pretty boys (as we often are around here *g*), I'll go ahead and confess that I've been completely charmed by Cheeks (Adam's ex, for those not in the glittery know). Seriously, that boy is too pretty for this world! Add smarts and a sharp sense of humor, and, really, how can you not be charmed???

Hm. This post is sort of all over the place, isn't it? Well, let's keep that up and end with this: OMG ONLY TWO DAYS UNTIL VACATION!!!!!! *flails* I have a million things to do still, but on Friday I get to hit the road for L.A. and an awesome-filled weekend with my girls! I cannot wait!
