Presumed to be awesome.

My ability to thoroughly procrastinate even when I have very little that I actually have to do is really quite remarkable. So, in the hopes of finding a job sometime before we slide into Fall, I gave myself a stern talking to yesterday and determined to treat the search for a job like a job. So far so good. We may actually see something resembling progress before I go trotting off on vacation in two weeks.

Which reminds me, IN TWO WEEKS I'LL BE IN HOUSTON!!!!!!! I'll have me the lovely annkiri (who I may refuse to let go of)! And we'll be hanging out with shutyourface and eckerlilas (fangirling FTW)! And we'll be glamming and glitterfying and SEEING ADAM LAMBERT STRUT HIS STUFF RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR FACES!!!!!!!!!!!!! *flails*

And then after leaving a glittery wake all over Houston, I'll be flying to New Orleans where I will be meeting up with coolwhipdiva and azewewish and then we will proceed to get up to all kinds of shenanigans and probably varying degrees of trouble for the next four days!!!! Bourbon Street! Delicious food! Lots of alcohol! Hot men! More alcohol! Beignets! Fabulous music! More hot men! *g*

NOLA shenanigans will also include another Adam Lambert show and passes to a pre-show meet and greet!!!!!!! *flails again*

And then! Oh, yes, there's more! And then, assuming I've survived the sheer level of awesomeness of those 5 days, I will be flying to Atlanta where I'll meet up with llandaffaz for TWO MORE GLAM NATION SHOWS AND M&Gs ON BOTH DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I'll be sharing the same air with Adam 3 times in 4 days!!! *hyperventilates*

*laughs* Truth be told I'm facepalming a bit over that, especially since two of those M&Gs are on back to back days. But, the second Atlanta show is general admission, and the VIP meet and greet package comes with early admission, which was completely worth every penny to me separate and apart from getting to see Adam one more time. Barricades, bb! \o/

So, yeah, basically I have 8 DAYS OF PURE GLITTERY AWESOMENESS HAPPENING IN JUST TWO WEEKS!!!

And you know what else is all kinds of glittery awesomeness? TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!!! *beams*

And now I think it's time for a nap! Man, unemployment kinda rocks. *g*

There has been a great deal of fabulosity lately, but first a few less than fabulous things:

- Kurt Warner announced his retirement from the NFL today after a 12-year career. Man, I'm gonna miss him. He's been such a huge part of the Cardinals franchise and its turnaround. And he's just a damn good guy and there's just not enough of those in this world. All the best to you, Kurt. May you find nothing but success and happiness in whatever the next 12 years bring your way.

- Did I really read that they're doing a 6th season of Supernatural??? Man, if that's the case, then I think I'm just done. I mean, I've barely been able to muster up enough interest to watch this season (I still haven't watched last week's or this week's episodes!) and I am SO not entertained by Kripke's tumbling of the fourth wall anymore, but if on top of that they brought on the damn apocalypse and they're still not going to wrap this damn thing after 5 like they've said ALL ALONG, then I just don't think I have it in me to care anymore! Ugh. Supernatural, why did you kill my love for you??? We had such a beautiful thing going and now you've gone and tainted it!

Ok, but what of all that fabulosity I mentioned?

Well, let's start with Cheeks' new music video for Instant Gratification. I'll just say this: I highly suggest that you not press play until you're either very drunk or very stoned. I am firmly convinced that this would have been the most BRILLIANT thing ever, if only I'd waited to watch it when I was high!



Now that you didn't listen to me and played that anyway, am I right or am I right? Wouldn't that be just the most amazing thing ever if you watched it stoned??? Oh, Cheeks, baby, you amuse me so. Never stop. *g*

Also, have a mentioned this one dude named Adam??? Yeah, probably not. *g*

Well, anyway, today is his birthday!!!! 28 years old young FABULOUS! And, it's only fitting that on his birthday, we managed to secure OMFG SUCH AMAZING SEATS for his show next month!!!!!!! It was a concerted effort by a lot of truly amazing people. But tickets have been purchased, rooms booked, and next month we will be ROCKING THE HELL OUTA THE DESERT!!!! My mom is even going with me and she's so excited about it! And two of the girls from work are going with me too! It's gonna be a ROADTRIP!!! Off the fuckin' chain!!! *bounces*

Whew. There's been a great deal more fabulosity in the past 48 hours, but I'll just have to tell y'all about later. All that awesomeness is a bit exhausting. But SO worth it!

Well, hey, hello there, August! Geez. Where the hell did July go? No, matter. August is a fabulous month. Mostly because it's my birthday month, so I feel perfectly justified in a month full of excesses and indulgences!

Even though we're only 3 days in, August is already shaping up to be made of so much awesome! This is what the month looks like for me at the moment:

- This weekend: a much needed pedicure and (also much needed) time to catch up on the million or so errands that are plaguing my to do list.

- On the 14th I head to L.A. for a weekend of awesome birthday shenanigans, including late night birthday dinners, undisclosed birthday surprises of the pampering variety, ogling of Philip Anselmo's Arms of Porn with azewewish at the Down show on Saturday, and a Glitter & Whips (TM) brunch at the Abbey on Sunday where aproposofnothin, coolwhipdiva, editorzon and I will wax rhapsodic about the shininess of Adam Lambert and the glee induced by magical musical boys, and generally make azewewish roll her eyes at us as many times as possible. *g* Good times!!!

- After that I'll be meeting up with my family for a few days of vacation time at Disneyland and San Diego. Mikey Mouse! Beach time! Exciting!!!

- Sometime during the following week I'll get annkiri here for a visit! And then hewet_ka_ptah will be joining us during the weekend for more birthday shenanigans! Awesome times with awesome friends!

- The following weekend _lisalisa_ and I are embarking on Operation Glitter, with a mad dash to Kansas City to catch the American Idols Live show on August 30th!!! *flails wildly* We have AMAZING seats for the show, and *knock on wood* there is perhaps, maybe, oh, please, let the stars align and the Universe smile upon us to make this happen the possibility of finagling backstage meet and greet passes. Eeeee!!! Either way, I am so ridiculously excited about seeing Adam perform again! You don't even know! It's going to be an awesomely good time with the most wonderful of co-conspirators! *bounces*

And while technically that brings us to the end of August, the Good Times just keep coming!

- Labor Day weekend I'm taking an extra day off of work and heading back to L.A. to see NIN with azewewish at the Henry Fonda Theater! Trent! Small venue! Longer set! *flail*

Eeee! So much AWESOME planned this month! Plus, you know, MY BIRTHDAY!!! Which is inherently awesome. As am I. *g*
