1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] editorzon!!! I hope your day was FABULOUS and full of glitter, glam, champagne, and rock and roll! And I hope that the year ahead brings all kinds of love and laughter and success beyond your wildest imagination because no one deserves it more than you, baby! I love you and I'm truly blessed to call you my friend! *mwah*

2. I had two interviews today, and I think they both went pretty well, and hopefully they were all suitably wowed by my brilliance and charm! *g* The first one was especially intriguing to me and I'd love to see that develop into something. I don't want to say too much until I know if it's going to turn into something, but, please to be keeping your fingers crossed and the good-job-gettin' mojo flowing.

3. I'll be scheduling my next tattoo tomorrow and I'm super excited about new ink!!! :D

4. I had a completely random and unexpected, but still really awesome, phone call from the Texas!Boy this weekend. We had a great conversation and I really do hope we can get back to friends, because I do have a good time with him. Plus, it was wonderfully distracting at at time when I really needed a distraction.

5. I finally watched the rest of season 5 of Supernatural, and, I gotta say, the show redeemed itself for me at the end and I was completely satisfied with the way it wrapped the story arc. Back on the Sam & Dean train, I watched last week's episode, hoping for good things. I was underwhelmed. The best I can say is that Jensen and Jared are still very pretty to look at. While I'm never one to underestimate the entertainment value of a pretty face on my screen, hopefully they'll figure out who to make something of season 6 other than "oh, look, Jared and Jensen are still indeed hot."

6. Reese's Pieces are happy-making. :D

7. Lady Gaga announced a San Diego date for the 2011 leg of Monster Ball! March 29th at the Viejas Arena. And, even betterer! Scissor Sisters is supposed to be opening for her next year!!! [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_ and I are looking in to getting tickets, if anyone else is interested in possibly joining us, tickets go on sale October 1st. Lady Gaga! Scissor Sisters! This is going to be fantabulous!

8. Phoenix AIDS Walk this weekend!

9. Dancing with the Stars producers can continue to put Rick Fox in sleeveless shirts all the time! Dear gods that man has beautiful arms. *bites lip*

My state sucks. I'm relocating to Glam Nation. *nods*

Also, "glitter and loveliness for all" is now my LIFE MOTTO! *g* (New life motto brought to us courtesy of Adam's MySpace chat from London this morning.)

It's Fun Friday, dammit!!! So, here are some good-time fic recs for y'all!

Why do Mondays have to suck so much? And if it's a Monday where I'm operating on less than 3 hours of sleep, then it's damn sure that it'll be a particularly vexatious Monday. *annoyed* Seriously, Monday, why so damn predictable???

In less vexing news, though, tomorrow is my mommy's birthday and I just ordered her the most gorgeous tulips to have delivered tomorrow! So bright and colorful! They made me happy just looking at them!

Also of the good, I managed to track down my missing W-2, so I can actually do my taxes this week like the law-abiding citizen that I am (or try to be, at least)! \o/ And, yes, I do realize that it's April 12th! Don't look at me that way! I still have more than 72 hours left!!! *procrastinates a little more*

Since I'm on a roll of all things anti-vexing *g*, how about a follow up to that Adam/Jensen fic I recced yesterday? Y'all read it, right? Because if you haven't you're missing out on a lot of fun!sex with two of the prettiest boys ever! And, because even Mondays contain little glittery bits of goodness if you look hard enough, there's now a sequel!!!

Jared makes brunch and Jensen's subconscious is made of awesome!!!

Speaking of happy-making little glittery bits of goodness, I find it impossible to continue to be vexed when I look at this:

Photobucket

He is DELIGHTFUL!!! *beams*

Ok, the anti-vexing has worked and my Monday is much better now. *g*
My list of accomplishments for the weekend is unfortunately much shorter than I would like it to be, but on the plus side, there was a mind blowing Muse concert, some much needed lounging about, time to do some reading, a kick-my-butt-into-next-week workout with The Trainer, and at least some marginal progress on the To Do List. I'm calling it a win!

Among the weekend highlights: I GOT TICKETS FOR THE LADY GAGA SHOW IN JULY!!!! *twirls* Floor tickets sold out within minutes, so I ended up on StubHub. My credit card took a beating, but I was determined to get those damn tickets! *g* (By the way, if anyone is interested in going, I may have a few extra tickets available. Let me know!) Lady Gaga!!! It's going to be insane! I cannot wait!

Speaking of awesome music-related happenings, it looks as if I'll be in L.A. the weekend of May 8th to see MY GIRLS *smishes* and to catch Ely Rise's Birthday Creepshow!!! Exciting! Thank you [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva! I am so ridiculously looking forward to hearing Ferras live!!! (And also might have made an mildly embarrassing high pitched noise when he re-tweeted my news about going. *facepalm*) I haven't even looked at the rest of the lineup, but I'm sure it will be fabulous! There's more info and tickets HERE.

In baseball news, I am pleased with how the D'backs have started the season. Brandon Webb craziness aside (seriously, Webby, you're mind-fucking yourself -- stop that already!), it's good to see them getting things done offensively. Speaking of finally showing an offensive game, the D'backs are currently leading the Pirates 15-4!!! That's what I'm talkin' about!

And, while an injury is never good news, Miguel Montero managed to fuck up his knee in yesterday's game so this means Chris is back behind the bag!!! So much YES to this! AND he hit his first home run this afternoon! Go Chris! (With the added bonus of this serving as a rather pointed eff-you to Faux-Mgr Hinch for benching him in favor of Miguel's bat!!! *evil laugh*) I'm hoping to be able to get out to the ballpark at the end of the month for their series against the Cardinals and Phillies and I'm super excited that I'll be able to see my bb Chris playing!!! *happy dances*

And then there's THIS. )

*swallows tongue* Jfc, Adam. Kill us why don't you.

Also, I have recs! Lot's of awesome recs! There's even some Jensen in here for my Supernatural peeps. *tempts*

For Your Entertainment )

Ok. I'm off now to make the most of what's left of this Sunday. I hope everyone's weekends have been made of just as much awesome as mine!
March! I'm expecting damn good things from you, primarily less work-related insanity and more general awesomeness. So please do not disappoint. Kthx, Me.

To assist in the general awesome-making that I'm forecasting for this month, let's start things out with a List O' Happy shall we?

:: Glee!!! Specifically, the Glee cast will be doing a four city tour this summer!!! And they're kicking it off in Phoenix on May 18!!! This is VERY exciting! Who wants to go with me??? *bats eyelashes*

:: If you have not yet checked out the video of Adam Lambert jamming a completely kick-ass, musically genius acoustic version of 'Whole Lotta Love' at Saturday's Fantasy Springs show, believe me when I tell you that YOUR LIFE IS INCOMPLETE! Seriously. Go. Now. I'll wait. ... See??? Wasn't that AMAZING! I'm still working on recovering the completely blown pieces of my mind. It's probably a futile effort. I may never be the same.

:: Baseball!!!!!!!! Spring Training starts tomorrow! I probably won't be able to get to a game until Saturday. But, just knowing that baseball is being played makes me HAPPY!

I got word that I got picked in the lottery the D'backs were having in order to purchase tickets for the games against the Yankees this season. I'm sure they will sell out, so I think I'm going to snag my tickets now. Also, I'm considering taking Monday, April 5th off so that I can make it to the afternoon home opener. I have a huge mediation later that week, but if I prep early then maybe I can pull it off. What? This is important!!!

:: Apparently it is Jensen Ackles birthday today. Happy birthday, man! I may have fallen out of love with your show but I still think you're ridiculously pretty and I hope you had a kick ass day!

:: These outtakes of Vanity Fair's interview and photo shoot with Johnny Weir sort of made my day! After the Olympics I have the world championships in Italy and then I’m going to take a vacation to Mongolia because I want to ride a yak. *laughs and laughs* How did I end up fangirling a figure skater??? I live in the motherfucking desert and have never even seen an ice rink in person! Whatever, man. This boy is fabulous and I'm keeping him!
I was in a legal seminar for most of Saturday, so I feel a little cheated out of a full weekend. Yesterday, though, I did manage to watch lots of football, get some reading done, and avoid all my household chores, so I probably made up for it. *g* I also made a huge crock of the BEST chili ever! Mmmm. So delish!

I have about a million things to do, but I'm determined that this week WILL be better than last week! Truth is it would be hard pressed to be any worse. Bottom of the barrel means it's just upward and onward from there! Silver lining, dammit, I will find it!

So, to start this week off in the right direction, we're talking about HAPPY-MAKIN' THINGS today!

First, I love the sweater I'm wearing today and my hair looks fabulous! What? These are totally important and happy making things! *g*

Also, I'm really loving Kris Allen's entire album. If you haven't heard it, it's streaming, in its entirety, [HERE]. It has far exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be plunking down money for this thing next Tuesday!

Also of the happy-making variety, apparently Jensen has put a ring on it! Jensen and Danneel are reportedly engaged. They are adorable together and hope they are very happy! Also, Jensen, well done on the ring! It's gorgeous!

Now it's your turn! Tell me what's happy-making in your world!

*laughs*

I am amused! )

Also, an evening spent watching old Betty Boop cartoons with The Elder Niece is made of awesome. :)
Why, oh WHY, do I have that jingle stuck in my head??? If I'm going to be mentally tortured by outdated marketing jingles for no apparent reason, I think I at least deserve the damn candy bar that goes with it!

Anyway. Nuts or not, there is good news to be had today! Season two of Brotherhood was released on DVD yesterday and my copy arrived today!!! This weekend there shall be Caffee brothers, and brotherly angst, and political machinations, and fucked up family dynamics, and the blinding HOTNESS of Jason Isaacs and Jason Clarke!!! *flails*

In other exciting fannish news, the new BBC Arthurian show, Merlin, is slated to air in the U.S. on NBC in January!!! It looks potentially, cheestastically FABULOUS! Between Legend of the Seeker starting in November and then Merlin in January, my inner fantasy geek is very, very happy!

Also exciting: I finally got back in to the dance studio yesterday!!! I hadn't realized that it had been so long since I'd been in -- since December of last year! Way too long to go without dance. So, anyway, yesterday's lesson went well. It was sort of like riding a bike -- it all just came back as soon as I got on the floor! I have over 30 hours of lessons already paid up, so it's not an extra expense, which is a good thing right now. I'm not sure that I want to gear up for any competition or shows right now; I just want to get back to the studio, dance regularly, and have fun. But, yes, YAY!

Finally, holy HOTNESS, Batman! )
The weekend was fabulous!!! I was in L.A. for the Salute to Supernatural convention, a Steve Carlson show, and (mostly) to see my girls [livejournal.com profile] wendy and [livejournal.com profile] annkiri who were in from Texas, [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_ and [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon, and all my L.A. Hookers. We jammed so much into four days, there's no way I can cover it all, but I'll give you the condensed bullety version, along with a few pictures:

A Very Supernatural Weekend )

I think that's all the bullety recapping I can muster. In sum, the weekend was made of all kinds of awesome!!! Now I'm home and tired and missing my girls and trying not to think about having to get up early for court tomorrow.
The weekend fantastic and is, sadly, now over. I got home late last night and was frankly too wiped to do much more than fall in to bed. Today was busy with wrapping things up at the firm, making my way through my mile-long to do list, and enjoying an extended lunch with [livejournal.com profile] technosage and [livejournal.com profile] annkiri (OMG! 4 hours flew by before I knew it -- but, as always, I had a great time girls -- thanks!). So, I'm just now getting around to updating everyone on the Jensen Weekend festivities.

(Alcohol) + (Gay Porn) + (Fangirls x MANY) + (Jensen x 2) = FUN TIMES )

In sum: Jensen Weekend ROCKED.

Now, I'm off to catch up on my flist before getting back to my mile-long to do list.
As expected, Jensen was beautiful and very watchable, no matter what color his hair was.

I was unexpectedly (and pleasantly) surprised by the movie as a whole, though. )

Another fabulous thing about seeing Ten Inch Hero yesterday? Getting to see it with [livejournal.com profile] mysanal, [livejournal.com profile] wendy, [livejournal.com profile] clex_monkie89, and [livejournal.com profile] unperfectwolf. [livejournal.com profile] mysanal I know and love, but [livejournal.com profile] wendy, [livejournal.com profile] clex_monkie89, and [livejournal.com profile] unperfectwolf I hadn't met before. *waves* They are sweethearts, all of them, and I'm so glad to have had the chance to meet them.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] wendy might have talked me in to going to [livejournal.com profile] winchestercon in October. Which I'm sure she'll laugh at because it (apparently) didn't take much convincing. I had thought about it -- but I've never been to a con before and didn't know any one who was going in person and I was scared and nervous and a bit intimidated and well, sometimes, apparently, I think more like a 14 year old than a 34 year old. (Also, it's Monday. Run-on sentences are allowed on Mondays.)

But, now I've met some fangirls and they were great and they didn't bite (why didn't they bite???) and, so, I'm thinking I might go in October. In any case, I got a room and I registered. I figure I can cancel if I get cold feet. So, yeah, [livejournal.com profile] winchestercon!!! (Unless, of course, I get scared again.)
