I think I was a little too ~enthusiastic during my boxing session with the Trainer yesterday, as I can't seem to move my neck or my right shoulder today. Ow! So, the whole not being able to move thing has given me the excuse to be completely lazy today and it's been wonderful to spend my Saturday morning in bed!

Last night my mom and I went to see Burlesque and it was quite unexpectedly wonderful! I went to see it because, come on, this is me, I'm not gonna pass up the chance to see Cher and Christina on screen together; plus I knew I could count on some awesome vocals if nothing else. But it really did exceed my expectations. Christina and Cher both looked gorgeous (although, someone should have fed Christina a sandwich during filming because damn the girl was skinny). They had really good chemistry together. And, sweet jam on crackers, both of them sounded phenomenal! Stanley Tucci was fantastic -- love him so much! Cam Gigandet was very pretty and not half bad in the acting department, mainly because all he had to do was make heart eyes at Christina; Kristen Bell and Julianne Hough were both better than expected (and, was it just me, or does Kristen Bell in dark hair look a hell of a lot like Sophia Bush???). The musical numbers were all spectacle and lights and fantastic costumes and make-up and just so much FUN! The plot was completely cheesy and predictable, but I didn't even care about that because the whole thing was just such eye and ear candy! I was thoroughly entertained! And, I really want this soundtrack now!
The random Jimmy Hendrix lyric in the title is courtesy of ADAM LAMBERT COVERING "PURPLE HAZE" IN HIS PARIS SHOW TONIGHT!!!!!!!! Yes, that news was totes caps worthy. *g* Oh, and, of course, he sang "scuse while I kiss this guy" instead. Haha! I love his crazy-ass self so damn much! I'm sure there will be vids shortly, so, you know, if you're as ridiculously excited as I am about Adam covering "Purple Haze" (and about Monte shredding like a mofo playing Hendrix), then check back here later for the video links.

Other random awesomeness for the day includes the following:

1. I had a great workout with my trainer this morning. It was freakin' ass-early in the morning, but it had been way toooo long since I'd worked out hard, and I gotta say, it felt damn good! Here's to being fierce and strong and healthy again!!! *fist pumps*

2. I started a Tumblr blog yesterday. Obviously I have too much time on my hands. *laughs* But I really don't know what to do with it or who to follow. So, audience participation time again! Two things. First, follow me! *bats eyelashes* And, second, link me to your favorite tumblrs! Ready? GO! :D

3. Have you heard the soundtrack for Burlesque yet? I loved it! Cher and Christina both sound AMAZING!!! Tracks 7 and 8 are particularly fabulous!

4. Have I mentioned lately how much I freakin' love Hawaii Five-O? Seriously, it's like candy! Without the calories! Sweeeeet! And this promo for the show is all kinds of FABULOUS!!!

But, they're right. It's not a bromance. Steve and Danny are LIFE PARTNERS!!! <333

5. I don't really have a 5, but I'm reserving this spot for the "Purple Haze" vids. Somewhere in France I'm sure there are dedicated fangirls berating their slow internet connections as they furiously work to upload their video treasures. And gods bless 'em.

ETA: Purple Haze vids have hit the web!!! EXCUSE ME WHILE I KISS THAT GUY!!!!! )

Don't forgot though, peeps, I need your Tumblr love and wisdom! *chin hands*
So what do y'all think of Christina Aguilera's "Bionic"? I had to drive out to the west end of hell for court this morning (2 1/2 hour round trip commute! Ugh!) so i had plenty of time to listen to it, and I gotta say, I'm really diggin' on it. It's not perfect, but, in all, it sure as hell is entertaining. And, seriously, she still has got one of the most amazing voices ever. I think I'll have to listen to it a few more times to pick out my favorites, but some of the stand outs right now are the slower songs like "I Am" and "You Lost Me," although I'm kinda loving "Glam" and "Vanity" too.

And today was truly the day of the diva, because in addition to finally some new music from Xtina, we also got Lady Gaga's video for "Alejandro." On a side note, Rhyan cracked me up the other night when I hear her walking down the hall singing "Ale-alejandro!" It was perhaps the most awesome thing ever! She loves Gaga as much as she loves Adam. Truly that child has been learning some things from her Tía! *g*

I don't know, though, if I'll be showing her this video. But while possibly not appropriate for children, it is nevertheless AMAZING!

Thank you, Gaga, for bringing the HOT. Please feel free to include entire regiments of barely clothed boys (in fishnets and heels! and tied up!!!) in all your videos!
Random sparkly fun stuff for your Friday happy-making!

:: Christina Aguilera's new video for "Not Myself Tonight"!!!

So hot out the box! )

What do y'all think? I kinda love it! It's certainly not groundbreaking in any way and rings of both Madonna and Lady Gaga. But, whatever, it's NEW CHRISTINA!!! And it's crazy hot!!! There's no bad there! *g*

:: Johnny Weir is adorbs! But this is not news. The news part is that he skated a gorgeous new routine, 'Heartbroken,' for Ice Theater of New York.

Heartbroken )

Beautiful! *loves*

:: Also not news: Adam Lambert is gorgeous! He was featured in People's Beautiful People edition.

Beautiful in every single way. )

:: Adam also seems to like hugging is pretty little bassist, Tommy. I approve of this!

Because all straight bassist hug their gay bosses like this, right? )

I just love how touchy-feely they are with each other. Pretty boys being huggy and adorable!!! There is NO bad here!

:: Cheeks' picks for Hot 100 are featured on After Elton today. So cheeky! And, according to him, this is not a "wish list," but a "to do" list! Which, you know, just pings the hell outa my, uh, love of lists! Yeah, that's it! *g*

I refuse to hear myself whine about how crazy work is anymore. In much the same way that the sky is blue and Jensen Ackles is pretty and Ricky Martin is gay, it just IS and that's not going to be changing for a while, or, you know, maybe ever. So let's talk about news that's actually news. *g*

Like baseball staring in 5 days 20 hours and 50 minutes!!!!!! Sadly, for the first time in MANY years, I won't be able to make it to Opening Day. :( But, BASEBALL!!! It'll be back and my joy will be complete once more! :D

Since I got my laptop back from ICU, I've been using Google Chrome for my browser and I absolutely love it! And you're probably wondering how I made the mental jump from baseball to browsers, right? Well, it's because my Chrome tool bar has an extension on it called Baseball Search that lets me simultaneously search several sites for player information! I just click the little baseball and type in a name and POOF! All the info I could ever want! It's NIFTY!!! So, is anyone else using Google Chrome? Thoughts? Experiences? Sharing is caring, people! :)

And now for another mental leap, this one with even a more tenuous foothold than the last one: Christina Aguilera's new single 'Not Myself Tonight' is now available in full on her site. It sounds AMAZING! I'm so excited to have new music from her!

Also, have some unrelated and random awesomeness:
- Eco-friendly condoms!

- French ELLE's first 'curvy' issue features the gorgeous Tara Lynn. Unf.
