Happy Friday everyone! Better yet, Happy Friday Before a Long Weekend (for some of you, at least)! Unfortunately, the whole not working thing kinda takes the thrill out of holiday weekend. :/

I really need to start every week with a happy list.

★ Greek yogurt with honey. It's so delicious! This morning I added bananas and it was extra delicious! Seriously, Greek yogurt and honey is my new favorite thing in the world!!!

★ Getting job search stuff accomplished. I got a reference to a new head hunter. Between those contacts and things picking up now that we're getting into the new year, I'm hoping to see progress soon. *fingers crossed*

★ Setting up a meeting for tomorrow in order to move forward on plans to get more involved with 1n10. (If you haven't yet, check out the information about the organization and their upcoming Fresh Brunch.)

★ You know how I mentioned that I just finished watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand, right? ( Well, I think I found a new girl crush. )

I got my new 2011 calendar today! So exciting! I love getting a new calendar every year and filling in birthdays and other important dates, and looking at all those empty, unscheduled boxes! So many possibilities! I can't be the only one, right? I don't think electronic calendars will ever totally replace paper calendars for me. Filling in my new calendar every January is just too much fun. *dork*

You know what I got to write in my brand new calendar for July? LeakyCon!!! I bought my registration today and it's marked in my calendar, so it's official! _lisalisa_ and I are going all the way to Orlando, Florida, to a Harry Potter convention that we're only marginally interested in, in order to see Darren Criss and the StarKids perform! It's craziness and I love it!!! :D

Also, if y'all remember back a few months, I was looking for volunteer ideas to fill up some of this extra time I have. Well, I think I've got it! 1n10 is an organization here in the Phoenix area dedicated to helping lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth by providing them with tools and resources to improve self esteem and acceptance of who they are. I'm getting together with some other Adam fans this weekend to work on ways to help 1n10 with their annual fundraiser brunch and I've been talking with their staff about doing more regular volunteering and maybe even serving on the Board of Directors next year. I'm very excited about this! Filling up those empty boxes in ways that make a difference! \o/

Disneyland tomorrow!!! I feel like that kid in the commercial: "I'm too excited to sleep!!!" *g* What can I say? I love Disneyland!

We'll be there until Saturday. I'm sure I'll be completely exhausted by, like, Thursday afternoon. Having that much fun is tiring! *laughs* But I'm also super excited about ringing in the New Year at Disneyland, as I've never done that before. AND, I'll get to see sabrinagb and editorzon! Good times!!!

Speaking of Good Times, _lisalisa_ completely and wonderfully enables and encourages my obsession with Darren Criss. Bless her heart. And, as my enabler and encourager she has jumped on board my ridiculous plan to go to LeakyCon in Orlando, Florida, next July where Darren and the Starkid Team will be performing music from A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel!!! There will definitely be field trips to Disney World and Universal's Harry Potter Theme Park involved! So exciting! :D

So, basically, I'm starting off 2011 indulging my inner 12 year old at Disneyland, and that theme will carry on through most of the year. Being a grown up is overrated. *g*

I'm not sure if I'll have the time to stop back in here before the end of the year, so, if I don't: be safe, be happy, and I'll see all you beautiful people in 2011!

I think it's patently clear that I love Adam Lambert like I love rainbows and glitter and fabulous make-up and all things sparkly and wonderful in this world. So, it should tell y'all something when I say that even though I absolutely loved Adam's last two Glam Nation shows, Darren's shows at The Roxy were probably the highlight of this trip to L.A. for me.

We had tickets to both his afternoon and evening show. I'm glad we did because even though we timed our arrival at the venue for sometime after the doors were supposed to have opened, there was still a significant line to get in -- a line out in the non-stop rain that drenched the greater L.A. area the entire time I was there. Once we finally made it into The Roxy, we were all nice and damp and Darren was already well into his set. But, on the plus side, The Roxy is a great venue and I was able to find a great spot on the stairs back at the bar to watch the rest of the show. Sweet jam on crackers, that boy is the very definition of ADORABLE!!!

After the first show, azewewish, coolwhipdiva, llandaffaz, and @morgaine99 all decided they would pass on the second show; _lisalisa_ and I, however, went back out to stand in the rain again until they opened the doors for the evening show. I found it both hilarious and indicative of my levels of smitten-ness (totes a word!) that, while I absolutely refused to stand in line in order to get a good spot on the floor for Adam's shows, on Saturday I found myself not only standing in line for Darren's shows, but standing in line IN THE FUCKING RAIN....TWICE!!! *laughs* sabrinagb and editorzon joined me and Lisa for the second show. We managed to grab a table for this show, so not only did we have a place to finally sit and alcohol and food service, but we had an AMAZING view for the show!

The set lists for both shows were the same, so I was able to see what I had missed from the first show. He opened with The Circle of Life!!! Seriously, people, he sings Disney covers! Unironically! I just can't tell you how much I love him for this! <333

He was so much fun to watch live. I love his music; he's a freakin' musical genius who can play like a dozen different instruments; and there was just so much talent in his band! And his adorableness factor is just through the roof! He's just too precious for words!!! This is me being ridiculously smitten with Darren Criss! *hearts in my eyes FOREVER*

And it was just SO much fun to watch this show with my girls who were equally as DELIGHTED as I was with Darren!!! Thank you, _lisalisa_, editorzon, and sabrinagb, for sharing the Darren Criss lovefest with me! *mwah*

OMG it's only Monday and this week is already completely CRAZYCAKES!!! Thankfully, it's mostly the good kinda crazycakes. (Although, if y'all can send some positive thoughts my way tomorrow around noon, I'd appreciate it. I'm having to deal with the ex-boss continuing to be an unmitigated jackass, so, you know, good juju would come in handy.)

Anyway, GOOD CRAZINESS!!! Let's talk about that some more! I've got a to do list that's about a mile long, and it all needs to be done in the next two days! Ahhhh!!! But just as soon as all those important items like "paint nails," "color hair," "buy lots of alcohol and chocolate snacks," and "OMG PACK FOR L.A." get crossed off my list, then it means that I'm finally on my way to L.A. for what is sure to be an AMAZING long weekend of DAMN GOOD TIMES!!! Eeeee!!! ADAM FUCKING LAMBERT!!!!! And DARREN CRISS!!!! And MONTE PITTMAN!!!!!!! And some of my most favorite people on the planet!!!!!! And glitter! And drinking! And doing fun L.A. touristy things! And laughing and talking and just having fabulously good times!!! Man, I cannot adequately state how much I need this trip right now. My mental health has been a tenuous thing lately, and I'm totally counting on just getting away, not stressing for a few days, and just having a damn good time in order to regain my grasp on my zen.

Like I said, SO MANY GOOD THINGS THIS WEEK! Like Adam! ( Who manages to wear the fuck out of a completely ridiculous pair of sparkly, zebra-striped pants. )

Also, I may not have mentioned this, oh, in the past 24 hours or so, but I'm completely smitten with one Darren Criss!!! *heart eyes* And I get to see him play this weekend! Twice! I may just die of the concentrated adorableness!!!

So, since we're talking about faces that make me happy, I think it's been well established that Chris Colfer is all that is precious and adorable in this world and his face does, indeed, make me happy. ( BUT WAT IS THIS CRAZINESS??? )

:: Today I received my 2011 Adam Lambert calendar featuring Cherry Lee's photography. And let me just say that I am now officially looking forward to EVERY month in 2011! ( Especially October! )

Speaking of Adam related happiness, his Acoustic Live! EP dropped today and it's AMAZING. His vocals are just stunning. And even though I've heard these songs over and over again this past year, hearing them stripped down is making me fall in love with them all over again! <333

(FYI: I'll be at Disneyland December 28th through January 1st, if any of my L.A. peeps want to join me for some magical good times in the happiest place on Earth! *beams*)

The awesome thing about being unemployed? Mondays don't suck nearly as hard as when you need to crawl out of a weekend and into a Monday morning at the office. Silver linings, man! :D

So, since I'm doing the non-suck version of a Monday, I'm gonna talk about sparkly things! *beams*

For instance, the lovely weekend I just had! On Friday I went to see The Deathly Hallows, Part 1 with V on the huge Cine Capri screen! I loved it! I was so damn impressed with Daniel's, Emma's, and Rupert's acting too.

On Saturday I went to Bruno Mars' show and he was AMAZING (just the way he is! *g*) No, really, he killed it. If you get a chance to see him live, I highly recommend that you do.

And then, to cap off a weekend of musical awesomeness, I was able to go see Jerrod Niemann's show last night and it was so much fun! (I'll probably make a post about the show later, but the short version was: damn good times!)

But, wait! There are even MOAR SPARKLY THINGS!!!

✶ The PTB at Glee recently announced that the Glee Live show will hit the UK in the summer with the full cast, plus Darren Criss (Blaine) and Chord Overstreet (Sam). Which is awesome, but since I'm not in the UK not particularly awesome for me. But, and this is the sparkly part, they also hinted at good news for the U.S. coming soon! I'm choosing to believe that this means another Glee Live tour in the U.S. next summer!!! *bounces* Seriously, this show was pure JOY and if it tours again anywhere within a reasonable air fare, I'm totes there!

✶ Speaking of shiny Glee related news, I got my tickets for Darren Criss's show in L.A. at The Roxy on December 18th!!! That's the same night of Monte Pittman's show, but since Darren goes on earlier, I think that with a bit of fancy driving we can totally make both shows. That's the plan, anyway. Two Adam Lambert shows, Monte's solo show, and now Darren's show!!! There will be so much musical fabulosity packed into this trip to L.A.!!!

✶ I had an awesome workout with my trainer this morning. But I'm pretty sure that if I don't get up and take some ibuprofen now, I may not be able to move soon. *hurts so goooood*
