putting our best foot forward

In the interest of starting the week off on a good note, here are some things that are making me happy today. But, be warned, about 90% of this post will be Darren Criss. *g*
:: LOGO has green lighted Be Good Johnny Weir! I was never able to watch when it aired on Sundance, but now I will! This is very exciting to me!!!
:: Today I received my 2011 Adam Lambert calendar featuring Cherry Lee's photography. And let me just say that I am now officially looking forward to EVERY month in 2011! Especially October!

Really, all of the pictures are stunningly beautiful. Lee Cherry does damn good work.
Speaking of Adam related happiness, his Acoustic Live! EP dropped today and it's AMAZING. His vocals are just stunning. And even though I've heard these songs over and over again this past year, hearing them stripped down is making me fall in love with them all over again! <333
:: So, now we've come to Darren Criss portion of this Happy List! Yay! :D
Last night Darren performed at the Trevor Live benefit for the Trevor Project. He looked very dapper on the red carpet in a suit!

But soon his inherent adorable dorkiness was again showing!

And, in case the silly faces weren't dorktastic enough, take a look at those socks! Oh, the shoes too. *laughs* Dear Darren, never stop being such a lovable dork!

He performed "Teenage Dream" with some of the Warblers from Glee. Katy Perry joined them on stage and all the boys promptly fanboyed the hell out!
(The video is crap and Darren obviously needs to learn how to dance and sing without losing his breath, but this whole thing is still made of awesome!)
Even more awesome is that, before "Teenage Dream," Darren performed one of his original songs, "Not Alone," backed by a choir and based on the few twitvids that have surfaced, it sounded amazing! I think it's great that he's getting this platform to showcase his own work!
Then after the Trevor Live show, the adorable dorktasticness continued on the KISSFM Jingle Bell red carpet. Guys! He was wearing a red bow tie!!!

I don't even know!!! It's like he raided Kurt's closet cast-offs or something!

But, his FAAAAAACE!!!! It's pure GLEE!!! <333
And since his outfit and his faaaaace aren't adorkable enough, he goes and CLICKS HIS HEELS IN THE AIR!!!! Wat??? He's like the Lucky Charms leprechaun or something equally ridiculous!!!

How can you possibly not be charmed by these ridiculous levels of ADORABLE??!!!
Haha! I was about to post this when I saw Darren's interview with RollingStone.com where he SINGS ALL HIS ANSWERS TO THE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS!!! How is he even real??? <333
:: Sticking with the theme of Darren Criss is Happy-Making, I'm going with an encore presentation of Darren's and Chris Colfer's version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" as our Awesome Holiday Song of the Day. This time with the Kurt and Blaine scene that will air in tomorrow's episode of GLEE (obviously, anything beyond this point is spoilery).
HEARTS IN MAH EYES FOREEVAH!!!! ♥__♥
*sighs* I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now. :)
