So yesterday's trial didn't happen after all. After a frantic morning of last minute negotiations and motions and wrangling with a hysterical and unreasonable client, we were about to start picking a jury when the prosecutor decided that he didn't want to send a sheriff's deputy to pick up his extremely uncooperative victim and haul her to the court to testify, so instead he dismissed the charges. Sometimes the criminal justice system just spins itself in circles until until everyone on board this crazy ride is ready to throw up. *shakes head* Anyway. At least Ms. Crazypants is no longer my problem to deal with. This is definitely of the good.

Also of the good:

- I have a few things I need to get done tomorrow and then I'll consider myself on vacation until the 23rd!!!

- I've also finished all of my holiday shopping! I need to put some things together and wrap some packages, but I'm otherwise done. (I've also decided that I'm not going to stress about not having any decorations up yet. If it happens before next Wednesday, great. If not, I'm not going to worry about it.)

- I plan on doing some holiday baking tomorrow. Mmmm...cookies!!!

- On Friday I drive to California for a long weekend at Disneyland!!! I am perhaps more excited about this than my niece, Rianna. :D And, in addition to the Happiest Place on Earth, I get the added bonus of seeing most of my Hookers and catching a Steve show!!! It shall be a very good weekend!

So where do we meet on Saturday? I figured I'd just drive straight to Disneyland and park at the park. Then I can meet up with y'all in front of the park before it opens? This is assuming we'll be there when the park opens. Anyway, let me know the details.

Oh, and dress warmly. It's been SO COLD here the past week.

Only two more days!!!!!!!

My plan is to be at the park when it opens, but I'll be wrangling two girls, so I'm only cautiously optimistic that this will actually happen. *g* Why don't you text me when you get there, and I'll let you know where we're at and we can make a plan then for finding one another. Also, if you want to bring clothes to change before heading to Steve's show, you're welcome to use my room and, if that's the case, it might even be easier to meet at teh room first (we're directly across the street from the park entrance). Just let me know.

Actually, I like the idea of meeting you at your room. I do plan on bringing clothes to change into for Steve's show so that will work perfectly. How about I meet you there around 9:30? Just send me the info (hotel name, room number, etc) in an e-mail.

Excellent! We're staying at the Carousel Inn on Harbor Blvd., right across the street from the park enterance. I'd really like to be at the park when it opens at 9 a.m., but I can always walk back to the room when you get there. So, just give me a ring when you're close and I'll head back to the room (if we actually made it to the park by then) or just give you the room number then.
