In honor of the start of the 2009 baseball season, we have the Sexy Pitchers Edition of the Hot Men of MLB Picspam!!!
Barry Zito || LHP || San Fransisco Giants

So, the Barry-basics: 2002 American League Cy Young Award Winner, arguably overpaid given his recent performance, quirky as hell, but, most importantly for our purposes, pretty damn hot!

He's also a musician, amateur photographer, part-time model (I've spared y'all the Valtrex posters), surfer, and yoga practitioner! *laughs* I mean, really, what's not to love there?

Here we have Barry and Bonus!Eric Byrnes on their way to the surf! ERIC!!! I think Barry is your soul-mate!

Also, I feel compelled to point out that Barry has a very dubious fashion sense. Here he's rockin' the headband and sunglasses:

Even better...RED VELVET JACKET!!! *laughs and laughs*

And perhaps my favorite Barry picture:

Oh, man. Where would you even start with that outfit??? *laughs more*
Ben Sheets || RHP || Free Agent (formerly with the Milwaukee Brewers)

So, Ben is team-less at the moment, rehabbing from surgery, but I'm hoping we'll get to see more of his big, hot self later in the season.

Smile!!!

I have no idea what's happening in this picture, but I think Ben looks ADORABLE!

And, can we all just take a moment to appreciate his, ahem, pitching technique. Or, you know, his thighs and ass!!! *bites lip*

Chan Ho Park || RHP || Philadelphia Phillies

Chan Ho Park's claim to baseball fame, other than being hot as the burning sun, is that he was the first Korean-born player in major league history.
He's played the majority of his career with the Dodgers:

He's now with the Phillies:

And I did mention the part about him being HOT AS THE BURNING SUN, right?

I, admittedly, felt a little uncomfortable posting such an obviously personal picture, but I just couldn't NOT post it, because, OMG LOOK AT HIM!!! In a tux and all smiley and happy and making the little fist pump of victory over GETTING MARRIED!!! And his wife is just stunningly gorgeous. So, yeah, Chan Ho Park, y'all. ♥

Derek Lowe || RHP || Atlanta Braves

At 6' 6" and 230 pounds, Derek Lowe is just a whole hell of a lot of HOT MALENESS.

Also, he looks particularly sexass when all hot and sweaty. See?

Or when he's wetting himself down. Guh.

And now that he's with the Braves instead of the Dodgers, I can enjoy his hotness on the mound without having to wish against a Dodgers' win. \o/

(Also, I approve of workouts in t-shirts!!!)
Ian Snell || RHP || Pittsburgh Pirates

Johan Santana || LHP || New York Mets

Johan is arguably one of the best pitchers in baseball -- two time Cy Young Award winner, winner of the pitching triple crown in 2006 (lowest ERA, most strikeouts, most wins), a smokin' fastball and absolutely killer changeup. But, RELEVANT TO OUR INTERESTS, he's sexy as hell, with a smokin' body and a killer smile! *g*
Please to be noting smokin' body:

And, aforementioned killer smile:

Thumbs up, indeed. *g*

So ridiculously sexy!

Even his fierce pitching face is ridiculously hot:

And his SMIIIILE!!! Have I mentioned his smile? *g*

Jonathan Papelbon || RHP || Boston Red Sox

Now, I don't find Jonathan traditionally good looking. But he is FIERCE, like scary fierce on the mound, and that's HOT.

He's also kind CRAZY. But that just adds to his charm. *g*

Peter Moylan || RHP || Atlanta Braves

Pete is Australian. I'll pause for a moment and let you imagine what his accent must sound like and what that does for his hot factor. *g* Also, hot? Those glasses! Damn.

Speaking of hot, check out that ink!

Tim Hudson || RHP || Atlanta Braves

The Hot Men of MLB, Vol. 2 -- The Hotass Catchers Edition
So, there was baseball happening today. (OMGYAY!!!) It was even available for baseball fans' viewing pleasure on most television sets. Tragically, mine wasn't one of them. My cable has been all kinds of intermittently screwy for weeks now, but it chose today and ESPN2 to really demonstrate how fucked it really was. Seriously, my annoyance cannot be textually rendered. The cable guy is supposed to be here tomorrow evening, so hopefully the problem will be solved soon. But, really. Really! I could not have been more annoyed. (Not annoying, though, was the fact that the Braves won! \o/ )
