I've been feeling "off" -- sad and depressed and a bit embarrassed for feeling so -- since hearing the news about Heath Ledger yesterday. So, I've decided to make a Happy List, because there is indeed much to be happy about.

  • Good Workout: I had a good work out with the new Trainer!Chick last night. I felt pushed to my limit, but not too far beyond. Today I was suitably sore, but not outrageously so. Trainer!Chick may not be a hot male stripper (more's the pity), but she's good at what she does and she listens to what I need from each workout. And I always feel strong and able after these workouts!

  • A Work-From-Home Day: Since my trial got continued, I didn't have to go to court today. Which meant I got to sleep in a little and work from home in my PJs all day! Working in my PJs is so much better than working in an uncomfortable business suit!

  • Yoga:I went to a great yoga class this evening at a studio that I recently discovered just about a mile from my house. I really liked the studio and the instructor. And the class was just what I needed. I'll definitely be making this a regular part of my week.

  • SuperBowl Weekend, Hooker-Style! I'll be heading to L.A. next Thursday for a long Hooker Weekend! Since I'm not in trial, I'm able to go a few days early and catch Steve's show on Thursday night. I'm also planning to get together with [livejournal.com profile] holywoodmermaid for brunch on Friday, as we've not had a chance to catch up in a very long time (any Hookers taking the day off are more than welcome to join us -- y'all would love Karen!). Sunday, of course, will be SuperBowl-related antics at Casa Hooker. I can't wait!!! I miss my girls like WHOA. Can it be SuperBowl Weekend now please?

  • Eye Candy: Shemar Moore on "Criminal Minds" makes for some damn pretteh t.v. viewing.

  • Mystery School: Mystery School and our journey through the astrological seasons of the soul is underway. I'm a bit slow in picking my way through this month's packet (I tend to get too tangled up in the technical aspects of astrology that I don't really understand well), but I am enjoying the material and the thinky-thoughts it's eliciting. I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to do IPP this year after all, as my work schedule has been heavier and more difficult to effectively anticipate than I had hoped. But, while I won't be able to make it to the Grove until late Spring at the earliest, I'll still be able to participate in IPP. This makes me very happy!

Also, my Happy List makes me HAPPEH!
