jessipsaloquiturToday I wore a purple shirt when I went to the post office; my Twitter and Facebook feeds were awash with purple avatars; across the country people joined together in various ways in support of anti-gay bullying efforts. And yet, just last night in the midst of all this solidarity in purple, anther young man took his life. Obviously, all of the purple in the world is not going to solve this problem.
But, if enough people tell them that it gets better and if enough people work at making it better, then it will get better.
I loved Adam's "It Gets Better" video because not only does he deliver that message, but he also reminds the listener that they each have the power to make it better:
