I cried. More than once.

I have near heard a speech from a politian that made me cry or made me believe that they were interested in anything more than gaining office before. I'm simply blown away. If he really means even half of what he said, it gives me a lot of hope for our country.

ps: Austin and Rico popped into Niko's tonight at the end of our workout to pick him up for a show they were working tonight. Austin looks extremely fine in civilian clothes. That boy is a walking advertisement for tight denim. Yum!

I couldn't have said it better myself. For the first time in a long, long time...I really have hope for this country.

If only I knew how to change the icon to make it applicable to 2008 instead of 2004...

Me too. I've had a death grip on that hope for a while now.

Yep

He was amazing. Any doubts I had about him were put to rest. NPR's coverage of analysis of his plans pretty much had me sold already though. New England Journal of MEdicine did an article on Obama vs McCain's plans and omfgwtfelventyone McCain would cluster fuck those already in trouble while they said Obama's would work. Tax plan - obama's would help 80% of the nation, McCain 20% - guess which 20. I think he's got a solid plan, and he's right, "change doesn't come out of Washington. Change goes to Washington".

I loved his class, his humility, his strength, and his conviction. I loved how he addressed the "celebrity" smack from the McCain camp, and I love his vision. I'm so scared though that we're viewing what will be a tragic figure, I think because so many people in this country who preach hope and are determined to change the world so often are struck down by those who can only comprehend hatred and fear.

I kept watching him speak last night, thinking...please don't take this man away. It feels wrong to think that way but, I agree so much with you've said. I'm afraid for him.
