Insomnia sucks. Yesterday was the longest day ever: early workout with the trainer, last minute work stuff, a million and two errands, a long drive to California. While we made good time on the drive, being stuck in the car for 6 hours with my grandmother is more than enough to stress me right the hell out. I'm tired. My head hurts. And I've been tossing and turning unable to sleep for HOURS. *cries more*

Tomorrow is the wedding that brought us all here. It should be fun to catch up with cousins that I only see every 10 years or so. Plus, you know, there's the open bar! \o/ What??? You don't think I would have endured that ride with my grandmother if I had to buy my own alcohol, do you?

(For the record: I love my grandmother, but NO ONE knows how to push my buttons more effectively than she does! I think it's an innate talent of all matriarchs. That free alcohol is actually my family's survival mechanism, as all three of the family matriarchs will be in attendance tomorrow. Gods (and booze) help us all!)

I'm really hoping there will be some sleep sometime soon, though. *watches clock*

have a great day at the wedding! they are stressful, i know, esp. if you're IN a wedding. i never want to be a bridesmaid again, haha!

(i'm really curious about your family in san pedro, and wonder if i know them! )

Yeah. This branch of my family has lived in San Pedro for at least 40 years. Nuñez. Larios. Amezcua. Escamilla. Any of those last names ring a bell?

Man, it's only 10 AM and I already NEED alcohol.

hmmm. not off the top of my head, but is there a roberto or eva nunez in your family? in their 30s? or frank larios? (also in his 30s)
also, i'm sure i've probably seen your family around town. did you graduate from san pedro high school?

eeee, this is so weird!

and, drink up, girl. that's what weddings are for-- to get drunk and have a good time! :)

I do have a cousin who is Frank Larios, in his mid-30s. No Eva or Roberto Nuñez though.

I've never lived in San Pedro, but I think most of my cousins graduated from San Pedro HS.

Passion Flower extract might help. Or, if you're like my wife, and have problems with a thousand chattering monkeys in your brain, California Poppy. Yes, that will cause you to test positive on drug tests, but if you show them the supplement, they can't count it against you. Melatonin, kava and valerian root may help, as well.
