Ok. I really should know better than to go ambling through LJ reading other people's flists in order to kill time between appointments. Inevitably I'll read something that makes me angry or annoyed or embarrassed on behalf of complete strangers or despair for humanity in general.
Apparently there are folks ranting about Jason charging $10 bucks for the single he cut with Jensen. Fair enough. If you think it's too expensive, or you've already downloaded it, or you simply think it sucks, then don't buy it. Consumer's choice. It's a wonderful thing.
And, you know, I'm all for the concept that these journals are our own space and we can post whatever the hell we want to here. So, if you want to tell the world why you're going to exercise your choice as a consumer to not buy a cd that you think is overpriced, go for it. But is this really necessary? Seriously? Calling someone "stupid" and tagging your entry "jason mann is an idiot" does not go far in either supporting your argument or bolstering your credibility (especially when you don't even spell the artist's name right!). For the record, neither does your appalling grasp of even basic English grammar or the mind-numbing frequency with which you use net-speak.
As if the existence of the diatribe wasn't bad enough, it seems as if someone told Jason about it and he responded with a comment. As anyone who's ever met Jason would expect, he's nothing but polite and gracious. But still, I could have done without knowing that this exchange ever occurred, because now I'm all annoyed at this person from Singapore who can't seem to write in full words let alone complete and grammatically correct sentences. And I'm angry on behalf of Jason who I'm sure doesn't need me championing his cause. And I'm embarrassed for fandom in general. So, yeah, the moral of the story, I guess, is that I need to read a damn book when I need to kill time instead.
ETA: It looks as if the post has been flocked. Which is for the good. If you're going to be a complete jackass then at least do it under flock where you limit the number of people exposed to your idiocy.

The fact that she's still doing it makes me think she's just doing it for the attention.

Good for Jason for talking back.
