The last six days have been a whirlwind of airports and airplanes and fangirls and hilarity and drunkenness and way too little sleep and great music and awesome hookers and general fabulousness. But, really, there is too much for a real post. So, let me sum up. With bullet points!

Thursday:
  • After zero sleep in Austin, an o'dark thirty flight back to Phoenix, a mad rush to finish packing, and another trip to the airport, [livejournal.com profile] technosage and I arrived in L.A. for WinCon and, as is to be expected, immediately hit the bar where many fangirls were met, a long over due hug was finally delivered in person to [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster, and, naturally, drinks were, well, drunk.

  • Later that night we watched Supernatural with [livejournal.com profile] wrenlet and several other fangirls who I was too damn tired to remember, but who were fantastic. *waves* And my love for this show was again affirmed -- how much do I love that they didn't go to the easy Dean as Dad place, but instead we got to see a glimpse of regret and even wistfulness. Good job, show! Also, kids are creepy. My biological clock was effectively silenced by this episode.

  • At this point I had been awake for over 42 hours and I was beyond exhausted. Apologies to the fangirls still squeeing in the room when I hit my wall of exhaustion head first and passed right the hell out.

Friday:
  • I'm not sure if I really remember having a Friday. I'm pretty sure there was drinking involved. And the consumption of alcohol perhaps started quite early in the day. This may account for my very fuzzy memory of Friday in general.

  • What I do remember, however, was joining the WinCon festivities Friday night for karaoke and, unsurprisingly, even more drinking. Thankfully, none of us were drunk enough to actually sing. Instead we mocked. Which, really, is what we do best.

Saturday:
  • I attended some panels on Saturday, which, apparently is part of what one does at these things. *shrugs* All I knew was that [livejournal.com profile] azewewish was on a panel on ethics and [livejournal.com profile] technosage was supposed to be the Paula of the American Fic Idol panel. Neither of these things could I bear to miss! *g* I'm pretty sure military credos were abused and that ethics were only barely covered, but I never say no to more talk of the ever Hotass John Winchester. Also, I shall never think of leopards the same way again. Very unfortunate images are forever seared in my brain. But it was the funniest damn thing ever. I laughed until my face hurt!

  • That night [livejournal.com profile] technosage, [livejournal.com profile] annkiri, [livejournal.com profile] just_katarin and I joined [livejournal.com profile] azewewish, [livejournal.com profile] idiosyncratic, [livejournal.com profile] editorzon, [livejournal.com profile] antheia, and [livejournal.com profile] sabrinagb for Mexican food and margaritas at El Guapo. There were many t.v. screens featuring baseball, football, and other assorted sports broadcasts. If I lived in L.A., I could possibly lose many weekends in that place. The ASU/Washington game was on and there was such a boisterous group of ASU fans there, it felt as if I never left home. Although, they really should learn that the cow bell is best in moderation. *g* The food was tasty, the margaritas were good, and the company was stellar! In all, good times!

  • The night was capped off with an excursion to the Pleasure Chest where the Fist of Doom scared us all and the Vibrator to Rule All Vibrators was conclusively identified and where inappropriate commenting and fondling of merchandise may or may not have occurred.

Sunday:
  • There were some attempts to sleep in late and perhaps even nap as my Partying Like A Rock Star Ways were by this time colliding with the fact that I am apparently old (gods, when did that happen???), resulting in a very tired and cranky me.

  • The down time was a good thing, as it left me ready for Jo's Mojitos of Kick-Assness later that night! \o/ Said mojitos were had at the lovely [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva's, who graciously hosted Sunday night's festivities (thank you, J!!! Seriously, you rock!), which included [livejournal.com profile] azewewish (who I love almost as much as I love Jo's mojitos!) -- Just kidding, Brenda! More! I love you more than the mojitos! Really. *g* -- [livejournal.com profile] idiosyncratic (who has amazing mojito fu), [livejournal.com profile] editorzon (to whom much thanks is owed for both shuttling us around and for coordinating the endless supply of yummy food stuffs), [livejournal.com profile] sabrinagb (also to whom much thanks is owed for driving us all over L.A.), [livejournal.com profile] technosage, [livejournal.com profile] annkiri, [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster, [livejournal.com profile] wendy, [livejournal.com profile] wrenlet, [livejournal.com profile] tsuki_no_bara, [livejournal.com profile] soylahtayplease, [livejournal.com profile] without_me, [livejournal.com profile] aproposofnothin, [livejournal.com profile] meredevachon, and [livejournal.com profile] stormcloude. In sum, an awesome group of peoples converged on J's home for what turned out to be a fantastic evening!

  • We started by getting caught up on the most recent Friday Night Lights episode. I can't imagine loving this show more, and yet, every week I do. Landry is made of awesome. Coach is the best thing in jeans. And Riggins is still a hot ass. This show WINS!

  • But the highlight of the evening (other than Jo's mojitos, of course) was Jason Manns, who needs to play for us in J's living room all the time! How can we make this happen??? He was fantastic. And such a good sport when faced with a room full of women. Also, he's perhaps the most adorable man on the planet.

  • In all, WinCon was fantabulous! I was super pleased to be able finally meet and deliver in-person hugs to [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster and [livejournal.com profile] mona1347, *smish*, and to again see [livejournal.com profile] wendy, [livejournal.com profile] wrenlet, and [livejournal.com profile] annkiri, who had just partied like rock stars with me the week before! Also, I had the best roommate evar in [livejournal.com profile] the_ellcrys. *waves* (There were many others who I wished I could have had more time to spend with. [livejournal.com profile] amara_m, [livejournal.com profile] scarlett_o...I'm lookin' at you. Alas, my powers of time control suck.)

  • Hookers, you get your own bullet point because I love y'all just that much! You guys are made of pure, unadulterated AWESOMENESS in every way and I can't wait to see all of you again on the 4th. *blows kisses*

Monday/Tuesday:
  • After a late night of Hookers and mojitos, my 4:30 a.m. wake up call came entirely too damn quickly. Guh. My sleep deficit just keeps growing. LAX was a madhouse. But eventually we were back on a plane on our way to Phoenix where we quickly boarded another plane to Nashville.

  • Nashville is made of win. So is [livejournal.com profile] way2busymom who we met up with soon after checking in to our room. She was in charge of any food plans and she fulfilled her duties exceedingly well. Monday she took us to a small little barbecue place that was quite yummy and this morning's brunch consisted of the most delicious pancakes I've had in like ever. There were about three dozen different pancake flavors to choose from. I had the Caribbean pancakes with pecans, bananas, and coconut -- they were so good, it might be worth another trip to Nashville just for the pancakes!

  • Before today however, we were ill informed about the greatness of Nashville pancakes, and were actually in town to catch Steve's show. We had a fantastic time! There was, perhaps, some drunkenness involved. Maybe. Even though the tequila was served in dixie cups and was quite possibly the most vile shit I've ever drank. Blech. But Steve? Steve rocked, as per usual. Allie will likely be able to tell you what he played, because she actually takes notes. *shakes head* Also, Steve brought Jerrod Niemann with him, who I had seen about three weeks ago when he was in Phoenix. I loved Jerrod then, but no one knew who I was talking about when I squeed about how fantastic he was. Now, though, [livejournal.com profile] technosage and [livejournal.com profile] way2busymom are my witnesses to both his musical talent and to his HOTNESS, and to the fact that he perhaps gets a little friendly once you get him drunk. *g* He's adorable, though. We're definitely keeping him. Also, he gave Steve a lot of shit about his demographic being almost entirely female (I think there were only two men in the bar who weren't either performing or tending bar); so for the heckling Jerrod also definitely wins.

Good times, people. Good times have definitely been had. \o/ Now, though, I'm home, finally, and I am soooo looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. Gods, I feel as if I could sleep for days.

There's been some friending of folks I met this past week. *waves* If I missed you, please stop by and say hi. The alcohol, and the tired, and the getting old, have wreaked havoc with my memory, so I'm sure I'm missing some folks. But I thought you were all fabulous and want to keep every one of you!

Well at least you had good reason to take such an ass early flight. [livejournal.com profile] eponin10 and I are just morons who fail at picking normal flights.

There will definitely have to be another time. Also I know you have my cell so feel free to give me a call and at least we can chat on the phone. *hugs*
