After a few months' hiatus, this afternoon I start working out with Trainer!Boy again. I'm looking forward to the regular ass-kickings and pushing my strength and cardio limits again. Y'all remind me of this tomorrow when I'm sure to be bitching about how sore I am. *g*

I was hoping to make a new workout mix for today's session, but I am woefully under-caffeinated and can't seem to be able to put two thoughts together, much less string together a music mix that works. So, naturally, I'm turning to y'all for wisdom assistance music help! What are your MUST HAVE songs when working out? What songs make you feel pumped up, strong, fierce, ready to kick ass? *curious*
A few bulleted notes on the day:

  • Any Monday that starts with the freedom to sleep in is a good Monday, indeed!

  • I did manage to put a new workout mix together. Many thanks for your input -- it was helpful! Check out the new super workout playlist. )

I really like it. Unfortunately, my iPod decided to weirdly lock up right before Trainer!Boy was set to arrive, so I didn't get to workout to the new mix today.

I'm still interested in hearing what is your never fail workout music. Tell me, flist, what would you NEED to add to this playlist?

  • The workout with Trainer!Boy was all kinds of awesome. He righteously kicked my ass -- as he's paid to do. *g* And the weather today was gorgeous, so we were able to take much of the workout outside. It felt really good to work out hard, and I'm actually looking forward to the sore muscles!

  • I've decided that I don't want to practice law. (I know. This is BIG, and most certainly deserves more than a bullet point. For now, though, this will have to do.) I'm not looking to make a career change immediately, but within the next 2 to 5 years I want to transition out of the practice of law and into one of several possible related areas. More to come, as I figure it out.

  • The Nieces were over yesterday and we watched Tinker Bell. It was adorable! *is five* Finally a Disney movie that celebrates individuality and skill, with nary a prince in sight to save the day! Plus, it was pretty, and colorful, and fun!

Speaking of movies, the decidedly grown up Quantum of Solace opens on Friday and I CAN'T WAIT!!! *bounces*

  • I made Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner and it was DELICIOUS!!! Either I was especially hungry or this was the best batch of soup I've ever made. All I know is that it was incredibly yummy! Mmmm.

  • The Cardinals really should not be losing to the 49ers. There is no excuse for this. *glares*

  • With regard to a couple of different situations, I'm reminding myself that I can only do what I can do. I feel good about my openness, my communication, my integrity, and my willingness to work toward making things right and maintaining connection. Beyond that, I have to be willing to detach from any particular outcome and be at peace with the choices that others make. I'm trying to be zen. Most of the time I'm succeeding. But, one thing I am successfully remembering to do is to BREATHE. :)
Keith Olberman's Special Comment on the passage of Proposition 8:

While I usually agree with him, I often find him bombastic and annoying, but tonight he was brilliant, sincere, and absolutely right on.
