First, I have a Jo!!! I kinda stole her. *g* More precisely, I suppose, is that I invited [livejournal.com profile] idiosyncratic and her bum foot to convalesce on my couch for a few week, so she came back with me when I returned from LA this weekend! Either way. I have a Jo!!!

I've done exactly nothing today. Which is just perfect because I was a bit wiped after a really busy weekend. Saturday [livejournal.com profile] technosage and I drove to L.A. for a whirlwind weekend of Good Times.

Saturday night was a Christian Bale movie-fest and Q&A with [livejournal.com profile] azewewish, [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva and [livejournal.com profile] sabrinagb. We watched "3:10 to Yuma" (which was just as fantastic on the second viewing as it was on the first) and "I'm Not There" (which I think is one of those films that you either really love or really don't and I didn't). The Q&A was great, though -- long and interesting and amusing.

Sunday Jenna, Brenda, Allie, [livejournal.com profile] editorzon, [livejournal.com profile] annkiri and I headed to the House of Blues for their Gospel Brunch. The Southern breakfast was yummy. The music was really good and the energy was a lot of fun. It's the closest I've been to church in over 10 years. And while I had a great time, I'm glad it included plenty of alcohol in the form of mimosas. *g*

Sunday afternoon was, of course, for football. We hung out at Casa Hooker to watch the Pats beat the Steelers. Too bad the Steelers' defense didn't actually show up so we could of all enjoyed an actual game. Still, Tom and Ben were both a lot of HOT on the screen. Never a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Sunday evening found us all -- me, Jenna, Brenda, Jo, Allie, Stacey, Sabrina, [livejournal.com profile] without_me, [livejournal.com profile] aproposofnothin, and [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_ -- at Jenna's for a fantastic jambalaya dinner and plenty of wine and mojitos a la Brenda and good conversations and lots of laughs and the always adorable Jason Manns and his great music. Good times, y'all. Really good times.

Yesterday was good-byes and packing up. Then a nice lunch with Brenda before Allie and I absconded with her roommate. The drive home was long, but, as is usually the case, we passed the time with good conversations and porny tales. *g*

So, yeah, a really busy weekend. It's no wonder I didn't accomplish much of anything today. I did manage a training session with my very sadistic Trainer!Boy. He has an unnatural love for squats and lunges and my ass is going to pay dearly for it tomorrow.
