A few notes on today...
Jan. 22nd, 2009 09:43 pm1. For a Thursday, it seemed disturbingly Monday-ish. I do not approve.
2. You'd think that in my line of work, I would no longer be surprised by the degree of asshatery, unadulterated meanness, and general bad behavior that people are capable at directing toward others. You'd be wrong. Today's example of fandom bad behavior was reprehensible, entirely inexcusable, and quite possibly criminal. It was, in every sense, a complete failure of human decency.
3. Trainer!Boy is moving to L.A. Great for him; less so for me. It seems I am in search of a new trainer. :-/
4. Today in the Obama Administration: on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade President Obama says the landmark case: not only protects women's health and reproductive freedom, but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters (Yes, THAT!); Guantanamo will finally be closed and the U.S. is no longer in the business of torture (both Very Good Things); this makes my heart swell with joy every time I see it.
5. I made the most delicious pasta with shrimp in vodka sauce for dinner tonight. I impressed myself with how good it turned out! Yum!
