No Country For Old Men, and other random weekend bits.

technosage and I went to see "No Country For Old Men" last night. And, wow. What a brilliant movie. It was stark and brutal and darkly funny in its portrayal of the human condition. The movie was beautifully shot, seriously some of the scenes left me breathless, and it was just as impactful in its silences as in its dialog. Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, and Javier Bardem all delivered amazing performances. Just, wow. All around wow.

And, in stark contrast to that movie, I spent my Saturday morning watching a bunch of 5 year olds playing soccer at Rianna's first game. OMG, so hilarious!!!

Today is set to be wonderfully low-key, rainy Sunday. I've got some errands to run and a trip to the gym planned, but other than that there is absolutely nothing on today's agenda! So, dear flist, what does your Sunday look like?
