Friday!
Despite this being a short work-week for me, it has seemed especially long and sluggish! I'm more than happy to see Friday roll around. I have a few more hours of work to get done, and then I'm off to see Quantum of Solace. I can't wait!!!
This weekend is going to be all about catching up with stuff around the house, trying my hand at making gumbo, and catching up with all the t.v. I'm still behind on. A low key weekend sounds perfectly wonderful to me!
I did watch Supernatural last night and, overall, I liked the episode. I see from the various reactions that not everyone felt the same way. Interesting. I was glad to see some of Sam's time while Dean was in hell filled in for us, although I did think that the flashback was a bit overused. I don't have any strong opinions about the Sam/Ruby scene, other than it made sense to me from Sam's POV. I mean, he was clearly lost and it makes sense that when you're in that place you make decisions that you might not otherwise. Plus, you know, the sex was really hot. And, while I'm splashing around in the shallow end of the pool, I'll say too that I love that Sammy is a hair puller. *bites lip* I'm less clear about Ruby's motivation, but that too is consistent because we don't know much about her motivation for anything. I thought that the hoops that the writers jumped through in order to get her in an "acceptable" body, and more than that, the drawn out exposition about it, seemed contrived and done to placate the fan-base, which I think is just chickenshit. Hrm. What else? I liked Anna. "The Dean" cracked me up. Dean and Sam's jump through the window was way cool. Sammy sewing himself up is still hot like burning. I was, um, underwhelmed by Dean's reaction to Sam telling him that he'd done the deed with Ruby. You'd think he'd at least get a raised eyebrow for tapping demon ass, right? I still love Castiel. I think Uriel is a badass too. And, I'm greatly looking forward to Dean gettin' some next week! *g*
And, just because, the first three songs on today's random music shuffle:
Jason Mraz (feat. Raul Midon): Keep On Hoping (Live)
Gavin Degraw: Let's Get It On
Joss Stone: Fell In Love With A Boy
I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday!

I totally agree. They need to write what they want to write and forget about the fans, man.
