Notes on the Day.
A few bulleted notes on the day:
- Any Monday that starts with the freedom to sleep in is a good Monday, indeed!
- I did manage to put a new workout mix together. Many thanks for your input -- it was helpful!
I really like it. Unfortunately, my iPod decided to weirdly lock up right before Trainer!Boy was set to arrive, so I didn't get to workout to the new mix today.
I'm still interested in hearing what is your never fail workout music. Tell me, flist, what would you NEED to add to this playlist? - The workout with Trainer!Boy was all kinds of awesome. He righteously kicked my ass -- as he's paid to do. *g* And the weather today was gorgeous, so we were able to take much of the workout outside. It felt really good to work out hard, and I'm actually looking forward to the sore muscles!
- I've decided that I don't want to practice law. (I know. This is BIG, and most certainly deserves more than a bullet point. For now, though, this will have to do.) I'm not looking to make a career change immediately, but within the next 2 to 5 years I want to transition out of the practice of law and into one of several possible related areas. More to come, as I figure it out.
- The Nieces were over yesterday and we watched Tinker Bell. It was adorable! *is five* Finally a Disney movie that celebrates individuality and skill, with nary a prince in sight to save the day! Plus, it was pretty, and colorful, and fun!
Speaking of movies, the decidedly grown up Quantum of Solace opens on Friday and I CAN'T WAIT!!! *bounces* - I made Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner and it was DELICIOUS!!! Either I was especially hungry or this was the best batch of soup I've ever made. All I know is that it was incredibly yummy! Mmmm.
- The Cardinals really should not be losing to the 49ers. There is no excuse for this. *glares*
- With regard to a couple of different situations, I'm reminding myself that I can only do what I can do. I feel good about my openness, my communication, my integrity, and my willingness to work toward making things right and maintaining connection. Beyond that, I have to be willing to detach from any particular outcome and be at peace with the choices that others make. I'm trying to be zen. Most of the time I'm succeeding. But, one thing I am successfully remembering to do is to BREATHE. :)

As for absolutely non-negotiable workout songs, I gotta have Cobra Starship for any sort of cardio: Smile For The Paparazzi, Guilty Pleasure, The City Is At War, and Prostitution Is The World's Oldest Profession. Those songs hype me up enough that I don't even have to try to keep up. :)

Hrm. Not surprisingly I don't have any Cobras in my music library. Care to pick your favorite and share it? *beams*

we speakI type... P.S. I find they're best loud, or through headphones. Start with Paparazzi, methinks you'll like the latin groove. :)no subject

Other than that, I don't have anything for certain planned until Comic Con, with the possibility of a trip in March during the SPN Con when Wendy and Becca will be in SoCal. *sadface*
Speaking of trips in the way out future, though, we're seriously thinking about a trip to Austin in March for South by Southwest. It would be most wonderful if you could join us!

I would love to join you! Can you believe I've never been to Disneyland for Christmas? I heavily resent my mother for this. ;-)
South by Southwest? HELLS YES! I've been wanting to go for years. Count me in.
Thanks for the invites, babe! So much to look forward to.

We'll be at the park all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday until we're ready to hit the road back home. Let me know what day you can make it, because I might be getting reserved seats for the Fantasmic show Saturday night. They are totally worth it!
And SXSW is going to ROCK SO HARD!!!!!

Oh, and while I'm thinking about it, I think I'll be going to Denver next 4th of July weekend for a Diamondbacks/Rockies game. (Yes, I plan my vacations around the baseball schedule!) Maybe we can work on getting together? *hopeful*
(I love my spicy icon too!)
