Why is this Friday masquerading as a Monday???
Today has been insane, with all the busyness, schedule snares, and general badness usually associated with Mondays. It can stop any minute now, kthnx.
In other slightly grumpy news, I realize that I'm probably in the minority here, but I was unimpressed with last night's Supernatural episode. I get that fandom is all abuzz over the high slashiness factor, but I thought the episode was boring and predictable (as soon as the FBI agent complemented the Impala I knew he was the siren and that was immediately confirmed by their conversation at the strip joint). It gets a resounding MEH from me. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all horrible, and, on balance, I still enjoyed watching it, as I usually do even when I'm not bowled over by an episode. (Hello! Pretty boys!) I highly approve of Sammy sexin' up the hot doctor chic! And I think that I like his new casual attitude toward sex and what that says about how he's changed generally. And I liked the fight seen between Dean and Sam, although I thought that it could have gotten dirtier, both physically and verbally. And Bobby saving the boys' collective asses is always a winner. But, overall, high slash quotient and all, this one wasn't one of my favorites.
Since I'm apparently surly despite it being Friday, let me just say that my thighs and ass are so freakin' sore, I'm actually making pained sounds every time I move. Ouch!!! The new trainer dude kicked my ass yesterday with, among other tortures, what today feels like a million squats. Despite today's pain, though, I really liked him. He kept up a really good pace, mixed up the exercises, included a really cathartic boxing session. And did I mention tha part about him kicking my ass? Yeah. That's exactly what I pay a trainer to do. Plus, his sessions are $5 dollers less an hour than the last guy. I think he's a keeper!
Also, I NEED MORE COFFEE!!! Dear gods why do I feel so TIRED and why must this day suck so much??? It's Friday, dammit. It needs to start acting like it! *glares*
