Happy Makin' Things!
It's Friday peoples!!! I was gonna say "thank the gods this craptacular week is over." But, this week has been nothing but a bitchfest. And, quite frankly, I'm tired of my own whining. So, instead, I bring y'all a Happy List!!!
Happy Makin' Thing the First: My cinnamon dolce latte with four shots of espresso. *vibrates*
Happy Makin' Thing the Second: Feeling better with the aid of good drugs!!! I'm not 100% yet, but I'm definitely feeling better than I have been in the past week.
Happy Makin' Thing the Third: SUPERNATURAL!!! Last night's episode? That right there is why I love this show.
I'm still not sure whether I like Bella (and it's not an "ew, girls," thing, because I kinda love Ruby a lot), but I thought we got to see more texture to her character last night, which was good. Of course she'd sell out the boy's location for a price. She was also smart enough to realize that she'd fucked up by crossing Dean, and it makes sense that she'd try to save her ass by making it up to them. Also? Dean's voice when he's all "I'm going to kill you"? So. Damn. Hot.
Gordon was at his awesomely fucked up, obsessive best. It's possible that I made some very undignified noises when he was turned into a vampire. That was fantastic! Kudos Sera for some great storytelling! I loved the scene when he comes around and realizes what's happened to him.
The scene with Sam and Dean in the room? (Speaking of which, what was up with the mattresses?) Anyway. That one? Perfection. Well written. Well acted. Subtle, with spot on emotional resonance and characterization. Just really well done. And, while I always love Jensen in those highly emotionally charged scenes, and this was no exception, I was literally bouncing off my seat with glee at how amazingly Jared nailed it. There was, perhaps, actual applause. (I think I scared the dog. *facepalm*)
And the last scene? That is quite possibly my favorite scene. Ever. That, right there, that is this show.
This doesn't even begin to touch my degree of love for this episode. But this wasn't supposed to be a review, this was supposed to be a happy list. So, onward with the happy!
Happy Makin' Thing the Fourth: This. Down. Playing here on Monday. And, I just bought tickets! And,
azewewish is coming to town to go see them with me! And,...well no additional "and." Except that all of this fills me with glee! Also, I have no illusions that
azewewish is driving all the way from L.A. to see me, for she has disabused me of any such presumptions on my part. No. It's really all about Philip Anselmo (with his Arms of Tattooed Hotness deserving special note). I wish I could call her to task for such shallowness. My brain, however, sort of implodes every time I look at his arms, making it impossible for me to form actual words. I guess that makes both of us equally shallow. *g* I digress, though. Down! On Monday! With one of my L.A. Hookers! Exceedingly happy making!!!
Happy Makin' Thing the Fifth: It's Friday!!! This is happy making for several reasons. One, after a (hopefully) brief jail visit, my work week is over. Two, the weekend, with all it's attendant rest, relaxation, and football watchin' commences shortly thereafter. (There will actually have to be slightly more productivity this weekend than that, but, still, it's the weekend!) Three, a new episode of Friday Night Lights!!! Love. That. Show.

what was up with the mattresses? Stopping bullets? That's my only guess, though I don't think they would stop much.
