All Hell Breaks Loose -- Part 2: Some marginally coherent thoughts.
Oh. My. Fucking. Gods.
This show so completely owns me!
I cried from the first strings of Carry On Wayward Son in "The Road So Far" until the HUG OF EPIC LOVE.
And I think I actually whimpered when I saw the Crossroads flashback, 'cause, oh, Dean. He's going to trade his soul for his little brother's life.
The crossroads demon chick was smokin' hot. And that kiss? Good gods.
Also, for the record, Sam can lift his shirt up for us anytime. Uh huh.
And BOBBY!!! Is it possible to love Bobby more? I loved the way he just rolled with Sam showing up at his door. Then the scene between him and Dean killed me dead. Bobby!!! With the mad, and the yelling, and his obvious love and fear and protectiveness for these boys, and the wanting to knock some sense into Dean, and the hand on Dean's face. I heart Bobby so much! And I just wanted to hug Dean during that scene. He looked and sounded like such a little boy in a way that he never did with John.
Ellen! Lots of love for Ellen too. "Whiskey now."
And John saved Dean!!! Damn. Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivered an outstanding performance without. uttering. a. single. word. Fucking brilliant.
Jensen and Jared both hit it out of the fucking park! Jensen's emotional delivery was spot on, start to finish. And Jared -- could he have played Sam any hotter when he shoots Jake??? And the scene at the end, with Dean, he was perfect. His emotion rang so true, without being over the top. Both of them just blew me away.
So, yeah. I loved it. The season finale was perfect. Wonderfully written, brilliantly executed. Just perfect.
Also, I'm completely emotionally drained now. This show has killed me dead.
