Happy Wednesday, everyone!!! :D Insomnia kicked my ass last night and I didn't actually get to sleep until after 5 this morning. Four hours of sleep make me highly grumptastic. So, I'm trying to practice that whole sparkle harder, smile bigger, act "as if" mindset until I'm more caffeinated and feel a bit less like sticking a spork in everyone in the world! So far I haven't actually maimed anyone with a plastic utensil, so it might be working. *g*

So, yes, sparkling harder now! In fact, the world is sparkling way hard today because today is the day we celebrate the birth of the ever fabulous [livejournal.com profile] azewewish!!! Brenda, baby, the Universe was certainly smiling in my direction when it brought you into my life. You are one of the most intelligent, articulate, capable, beautiful, AMAZING women I know. Your friendship is such a brilliant, treasured part of my life. You are a sister of my heart and I love you. I wish for you the most fabulous year yet, full of love, friendship, laughter, good times, lots of amazing sex, and plenty of hot men! *mwah*

Since we're on the subject of awesome people, let's talk about Darren Criss, shall we? *g* If you have no idea why he's one of my favorite topics of conversation, go check out fantabulous primer on Darren's various flavors of hotness. Seriously, that picspam is one of the best things to exist in this world!

But, wait. There's more! Apparently, Darren had a LiveJournal when he was in high school, and, for unknown yet greatly appreciated reasons, he hasn't removed that gem of awesomeness from the internets! His adorable dorktasticness was apparent even back then. And, really, how can you possibly not be charmed by a boy who writes things like this???

- It's proposterous that naps are a crime. People need them. Don't make me feel dirty about it.

- Why write essays when I can just send naked pictures of myself to colleges?

- Hellz No, Motherfucker, as they say in Bangladesh.

And, really, you just have to go read his whole bit on the LJ Abuse Team. I was literally laughing out loud! :D

Gods, he's just too adorable for this world! *smitten* And, he does adorable things like coach kids at a young actors' camp! <333

I told [livejournal.com profile] editorzon that I'd put links to all the videos from his performances last week at the Young Actors' Theater Camp, here for her our mutual enjoyment. If somehow your inner 14 year old girl is not completely smitten and swoony with Darren after that picspam primer and reading his old LJ, feel free to skip the rest of this. But if that's the case, I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LIFE AND YOUR REPRESSED INNER 14 YEAR OLD GIRL!!! *g*

Happiest of Happy Birthdays to the ever lovely, [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_!!! Lisa, baby, you are an amazing woman! You are beautiful, inside and out. I am blessed beyond measure to call you my friend. I hope you had a fabulous day and that the year ahead brings much love and laughter your way! I can't wait to see you so that we can properly celebrate the fabulousness that is you! *mwah*
1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] editorzon!!! I hope your day was FABULOUS and full of glitter, glam, champagne, and rock and roll! And I hope that the year ahead brings all kinds of love and laughter and success beyond your wildest imagination because no one deserves it more than you, baby! I love you and I'm truly blessed to call you my friend! *mwah*

2. I had two interviews today, and I think they both went pretty well, and hopefully they were all suitably wowed by my brilliance and charm! *g* The first one was especially intriguing to me and I'd love to see that develop into something. I don't want to say too much until I know if it's going to turn into something, but, please to be keeping your fingers crossed and the good-job-gettin' mojo flowing.

3. I'll be scheduling my next tattoo tomorrow and I'm super excited about new ink!!! :D

4. I had a completely random and unexpected, but still really awesome, phone call from the Texas!Boy this weekend. We had a great conversation and I really do hope we can get back to friends, because I do have a good time with him. Plus, it was wonderfully distracting at at time when I really needed a distraction.

5. I finally watched the rest of season 5 of Supernatural, and, I gotta say, the show redeemed itself for me at the end and I was completely satisfied with the way it wrapped the story arc. Back on the Sam & Dean train, I watched last week's episode, hoping for good things. I was underwhelmed. The best I can say is that Jensen and Jared are still very pretty to look at. While I'm never one to underestimate the entertainment value of a pretty face on my screen, hopefully they'll figure out who to make something of season 6 other than "oh, look, Jared and Jensen are still indeed hot."

6. Reese's Pieces are happy-making. :D

7. Lady Gaga announced a San Diego date for the 2011 leg of Monster Ball! March 29th at the Viejas Arena. And, even betterer! Scissor Sisters is supposed to be opening for her next year!!! [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_ and I are looking in to getting tickets, if anyone else is interested in possibly joining us, tickets go on sale October 1st. Lady Gaga! Scissor Sisters! This is going to be fantabulous!

8. Phoenix AIDS Walk this weekend!

9. Dancing with the Stars producers can continue to put Rick Fox in sleeveless shirts all the time! Dear gods that man has beautiful arms. *bites lip*

Jul. 1st, 2010 12:59 pm
Hello, July!!! You're finally here!

I'm expecting fantabulous things from this month. It's going to be the sparkliest, most glamtastic month of all! No, really! It is! Look! )

Eeeee!!!! *bounces* Only 10 days to glitter and glam!!!

And even before that, July gets sparkly, with a MUCH needed three-day weekend coming up! Dear gods, do I ever need this weekend. I'll be going to Tucson on Sunday to enjoy the 4th pool-side! With fruity adult beverages! And yummy food! Good times!

Yesterday, the NOH8 campaign announced that they'll be doing an open photo shoot in Scottsdale on the 12th:

I think this sounds like fun! Anyone want to join me?

So, yeah, lots of awesomeness in July. But the most awesome, sparkly, glitterific part of July is that this is the month that we celebrate the amazing [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva!!! Technically, today is her day, but, really, when you're talking about a woman who is THAT smart, sexy, and strong, a month-long celebration is definitely called for. *g* J, baby, I am so infinitely thankful to have you in my life. You are beautiful and brilliant and I cannot wait to see what this next year has in store for you! And I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing so much of this month's glittertasticness with you! You are a sister of my heart. I cherish your friendship and I love you like mad! Happy birthday, baby! *mwah*
Ok, work is throwing me against a wall and making me its little bitch today. But I have THINGS, happy things, that I want to share with y'all! So, I'm gonna hide here in LJ for a few minutes until someone knocks on my door or my phone rings for the 4 billionth time today. *nods*

First happy thing: Today is a most wonderful and glorious day for many reasons, but mostly because it is the day that we celebrate the awesomeness of [livejournal.com profile] wendy!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] wendy!!!!! I hope you have the happiest of birthdays and that the year ahead is full of love, laughter, friendship, and the all the wonderful messiness of LIFE! *mwah*

Bigger version.

It rocks so hard!!! It's called "For Your Entertainment," and if you haven't heard it yet, it's streaming and available for download [HERE]. The beat is RIDICULOUS and the lyrics are crazy sexy; it's fun and hot and if you can resist shaking your ass to this tune you're a stronger person than I am. *g*

FYE Lyrics )

So, GO! Listen! And come back and TALK TO ME ABOUT ADAM!!!! Or, really, talk to me anything! What's making you happy! What are your Halloween plans? What kinda glitz are you gonna display? (Ha! I sort of love that line. *g*)
I've been buried in work since I got back from vacation, but it IS Friday and last weekend was KICK AWESOME, so I'm calling it a win!

Let's see if I can manage the Cliff Notes version of vacay: )

In all it was a good time. Thank you, chicas, for an awesome birthday weekend! *mwah*
Well, hello there, JULY!!! You certainly got here fast!

First things first on this hump day: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva!!! You, my dear, are one of the most fiercely intelligent, graceful, self-assured, driven, got-her-shit-together women I know. You are beautiful, inside and out. I respect and admire you so much and I am blessed beyond words to call you my friend. I can't wait to see you on Friday and to spend an entire weekend celebrating your awesomeness! *mwah*

Entirely related to the above, sometimes I think to myself, damn, how did I ever get so lucky to have such an amazing circle of women that I'm just so blessed to call my friends??? And I don't really know the answer to that, but I'm very damn happy that, whatever the reason, I do have some pretty fucking fabulous friends! *loves you all!*

Also related to the above, I am bailing from this pit of hell we call Phoenix tomorrow afternoon for an awesome weekend in Ojai with my girls, enjoying the cooler temps, lazing about the pool, drinking wine, possibly indulging in a massage, and just generally having an amazing, relaxing weekend celebrating the awesomeness of Ms. J. *g* I cannot wait for this to happen!!! Seriously, just the fact that I get to escape these hellish 108 degree temperatures makes me ridiculously happy. But combine that with a long weekend spent in the most fabulous of company, and I'm positively GIDDY!

In other awesome news, and not coincidentally, also related to the aforementioned fabulosity of my friends, *g* [livejournal.com profile] azewewish, amazing woman that she is, has scored us VIP tickets to see Down in L.A. in August!!! *flails wildly* The VIP tickets apparently include a meet and great with the band (!!!), photo/autograph and the like, some merch, early admission to the show, as well as admission to the sound check (!!!). And while she mentioned something about introducing me to Philip and his Cock of Awesomeness, I'm pretty sure that the tickets aren't actually that good. *g* Whatever, man. I am stoked for this!!! *glee*

In less awesome news, I had a client call me a fucking bitch and throw a chair at me yesterday. Thankfully there was prison bars and shatter resistant glass between him and me, but it was still scary as hell to watch him completely lose it like that. And in the crazy, mad rush to meet today's disclosure deadline, I've managed to spill my coffee TWICE! The same coffee. Twice! *facepalm* Can I have my long weekend now, please?
Seriously. How is it that it's only Tuesday and yet this week already feels at least two days too long???

My jury came back with a verdict late this afternoon. And while I'm completely exhausted, at least now my life gets to go back to normal levels of chaos and stress. Until Monday, that is, when I'm scheduled to start another trial. Ugh.

Tonight I'm watching American Idol while I get some work done, and then I'm squeezing in a short workout before I (hopefully) get to bed at a decent hour. I did mention that I was COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED, right? Also, don't judge my t.v. watching choices -- reality t.v. is about all my brain can handle at the moment.

So, other than what is apparently a continuation of my piss-poor mood, there are good things happening this week too! Yesterday, my beautiful, baby niece, Rhyan, had her first birthday! Holy moly, where did the last year go??? She's having a birthday party on Saturday and I'm hoping that she will smear cake all over her adorable face!

I'm debating going to a midnight showing of Watchmen on Thursday. On the one hand, WATCHMEN!!!!!!!!!!! On the other hand, good gods I'm exhausted. I just don't know if I'd be able to stay awake that late! Also, I have NOTHING on my schedule on Friday, so I could always go then. Hrm...it's a conundrum, for sure.

Also, a plan is finally starting to take shape for my trip to California later this month. Texas Boy and I will definitely be spending a long weekend (March 20-24) in and around SoCal, with a trip to Disneyland and maybe an excursion to San Diego on the agenda! Yay!!! The second part of the trip is less settled. I really want to stick around SoCal the rest of that week, catch up with my L.A. girls, and see some of my Texas girls when they're in town for the SPN convention. But with all the work stuff so up in the air, I just don't know if I'm going to manage it. For now, I'm just going to play it by ear and hope that some things fall in place before then. *crosses fingers*

And now, I really think this day could use a glass of milk and some chocolate chip cookies. *nods*
1. I managed to make it through the day and NOT stab my client! No, really, this was an ACCOMPLISHMENT! But, even better, was the TWO HOUR NAP I took when I got home!!!

2. Light rail employees were giving out Valentine's day cards and chocolate this morning as we piled on the train for the morning commute. Admittedly, the chocolate kiss wasn't the most nutritious of breakfasts, but it made me SMILE!

3. Today I'm sore from my shoulder blades to my ass and quads, and while soreness isn't normally happy-making, it makes the list because it reminds me of the kick-ass workout I had yesterday with the new Trainer!Boy. So many squats! And boxing! I love the boxing! It's SO cathartic to just hit something!

4. Pitchers and catchers report in 15 HOURS AND 6 MINUTES!!!! Spring training is HERE!!!!!!!!! *flails wildly* Anyone wanna plan on catching some spring training games with me?

5. Lots of awesome new t.v. tonight!!! New Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles!!! Friday Night Lights!!! And Dollhouse premiers tonight!!!

In other news, I'm glad to hear that folks are heading out to see Friday the 13th, because I'm all for supporting the boys' work, but I just don't think I can! I barely made it through My Bloody Valentine and that was with food and alcohol at the Drafthouse to distract me from the gore on the screen. I just don't DO horror flicks. So, while I wish him every success, I don't think I'm going to be contributing to that success myself. Sorry Jared! I still love you (even though I really don't like those new pictures of you -- please step away from the eyeliner)!

And, finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] dellastarr!!! ♥ I hope your day was full of things that make you happy and I hope the year ahead bring all manner of unexpected blessings your way!
For being the first full Monday after several weeks of holiday-related down time, today was a surprisingly good day. But of all the good things about this day, the absolute BEST thing is that today is the day that we celebrate the birth of the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] azewewish! Happy birthday, baby!!! You have enriched my life with your love and friendship, you've inspired me with your strength of character, with your fierce independence and your sharp mind, you've made me laugh more than just about anyone, and we've had some damn good times! I hope your day was as fantastic as you are, full of all the things that make you happiest, and I hope the year ahead brings an abundance of love, laughter and more damn good times your way! *mwah*

Since my trial got vacated, I had an unexpectedly productive day. I blew through my To Do list and organized myself for the rest of the week. I feel quite accomplished!

Also of the good: paying off my car!!! I made my last car payment today! This is exciting!

And, to round off the GOOD, in only 10 days, I get to go to Austin and see [livejournal.com profile] annkiri!!! I can't wait! This will be my first time spending any amount of time in Austin, so I appeal to my flist: what should be on my Austin Must Do list?
Dear gods this day started way too early. I have a motion that I need to file today, before noon as I have an afternoon court hearing, and last night I just ran out of steam sometime after midnight. So I was up again this morning before 6 to finish it. There really isn't enough coffee in the world to make me feel awake enough to deal with this day. *cries*

The motion, though, is coming along nicely. I have just one section that I need to tweak a bit, then a final review before I send it off on the electronic highway for filing. It is, if I may say so myself, a damn fine example of legal writing and persuasive argument. I, quite obviously, rock! *g*

After court today I plan to make a bit more progress on the holiday shopping front, as I will be knee deep in trial prep for most of the weekend. I also need to get caught up on laundry and life in general as next weekend I'll be heading to California with Niece Child the Eldest for a weekend at Disneyland. How is it that December is flying by so quickly??? *boggles*

Any how, I hope y'all are enjoying the hell out of Friday. I especially hope that [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster is enjoying the hell out of this Friday because this one happens to be her birthday!!! Happiest of birthdays, PT! I hope the day is full of the things that make you happy and that the year ahead brings lots of love and laughter your way! *mwah*
First things first: a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] sabrinagb!!! I hope your day is as fabulous as you are, baby, and that the year ahead brings all kinds of good things your way! *mwah*

I think that vacation wore me the fuck out. I've been able to muster no real energy to do anything. I skipped out on the Halloween party yesterday and instead stayed home to catch up on Supernatural and pass out candy. Today, I've managed half a load of laundry (seriously, I didn't even finish washing it!) and a whole lotta lazing about. I did muster the energy for a good workout, which felt awesome as I hadn't done any strength training in way too long. But other than that, the sum total of my productivity since I got home from New Orleans has been minimal. I'm pretty sure that this bone deep exhaustion is a sure indication that we had one hell of a good time in New Orleans!

Since I have several things that I have to get done tomorrow, including that unfinished laundry, some work projects, and several hours on the Obama phone banks, I'm going to take advantage of what's left of my lazy Saturday and see about getting caught up on Brotherhood!!! Speaking of Brotherhood, season 3 starts tomorrow night! Mmmm...Caffee brothers. *happy sigh*
Today is a most auspicious day. It is the day that this world was lucky enough to herald [livejournal.com profile] wendy's arrival! All hail Wendy-day!!! *throws confetti*

Wendy, baby, I am blessed beyond measure to call you my friend. You have brightened my life with your laughter, your pure joy over the things that make you smile, your strength and your wisdom. I hope your day is every bit as special as you are, filled with all the things that make you happy. And I hope that the year ahead is abundant with the joy, love, laughter, and friendship! ♥
Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] brynwulf!!! I hope you day is full of all the things that make you happy. May the year ahead bring an abundance of love, laughter, and friendship your way! *hugs*
It's been an inordinately busy Saturday with tons of errands, family weddings, and babysitting The Nieces, but I couldn't let this day pass without wishing two of the most fabulous women in the world a very happy birthday.

Today is the most special of days, because today is the day that we celebrate the fabulousness that is [livejournal.com profile] editorzon. Stacey, baby, my life is infinitely brighter and richer because you're in it. I love and admire you so much and for so many reasons -- for your beauty, your strength, your intelligence, your wit, your brilliant passion for life, your open and generous heart. You immediately opened your heart to me in friendship and I immediately knew you as a woman of my heart, a woman of my circle. I hope your day was just as fabulous as you are and I can't wait until we can celebrate YOU properly next month in New Orleans. *mwah*

And, since we're celebrating fabulous women, yesterday was [livejournal.com profile] hewet_ka_ptah's birthday. Happy belated birthday, Deb! I'm sorry I wasn't around yesterday, but you were in my thoughts all day. Your friendship is a gift that I treasure every day. I hope the year ahead is full of all the good things in life. *hugs*
Today is [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALISON!!!!!!! *throws confetti* I am so pleased to have had the chance to meet you this year and to call you a friend. You are a joy and I can't wait to be in L.A. and to be able to spend more time together! I hope your day is just as FABULOUS as you are, filled with all the things that make you happy, and I hope that the year ahead brings lots of love, laughter, and good times your way! *mwah*

Also, check your email. *wink*
- 8 gold medals for Michael Phelps!!! Phenomenal!

- Also, I absolutely LOVE this guy's mom. Her facial expressions crack me up. And it seems as if she gives great hugs. *smishes Mama Phelps*

- Also awesome? Ian Thorpe in the stands watching the race, looking hotter than ever. Seriously, what's that boy been doing the past four years that his hot factor has just multiplied??? Damn.

- Medals notwithstanding, Dara Torres is a champion. She's also quite wise. What she says she'll tell her two year old daughter about this Olympic experience: You don't need to put an age limit on your dreams. Preach it, sistah!

- I will never understand the desire to run a marathon. That looked like 26 plus miles of sheer misery. Hell, it was miserable just to watch.

- Also from the "Do Not Understand" file: why do the women of beach volleyball play the game with nothing more than a bikini on, while the men hit the sand fully clothed??? This strikes me as fundamentally WRONG.

- And in non-Olympic related ramblings, my birthday is coming up and some of you have asked if I have a Wish List. I feel a little odd about this, because while I wholeheartedly ascribe to the idea that one should celebrate their date of birth with as much fanfare as they can muster, I certainly don't expect others to join in my personal ME party. :) But there's also something to be said for learning to ask for one's wants/needs. And, of course, presents are always nice. *g*

My Amazon.com Wish List

- ETA: The Diamondbacks beat the Astros 11-5, spurred by TWO GRAND SLAMS, by Miguel Montero and Chris Young!!! Way to go D'backs!!! Also, way to go Brew Crew! Thanks for taking care of the Dodgers tonight. This was a good baseball day! \o/
- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] idiosyncratic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the year ahead brings lots of happiness your way, baby! *mwah*

- My clients are idiots. This is reconfirmed on an almost daily basis. Most of them deserve exactly what they get. A few of them are despicable in every way and I wouldn't let them near anyone I held dear. But some of them? Some of them really break my heart. I know. I'm a sap.

- The All-Star Game yesterday was a great one. Excellent pitching. Some fabulous defensive plays. Really fun to watch. But I'd sort of like to see the National League win, you know, like once every decade or so! *shakes head*

- After the late finish of the All-Star game last night, I stayed up even later watching George Michael: A Different Story. I had to watch it on my laptop because I'm an idiot and didn't realize I was buying a Region 2 DVD. But even on my tiny laptop screen it was awesome and made me love George even more!!! *draws sparkly hearts*

- I get [livejournal.com profile] editorzon later today!!! *bounces* I'm so excited! And tomorrow we're catching a midnight showing of The Dark Knight!!!! *bounces more*

- I really want to watch "Generation Kill." I also want to be able to keep up with "Brotherhood" next season. I think this means I need to get both HBO and Showtime. Soon. Like this afternoon.

- There's lots of baseball lined up this weekend. On Friday night I'm taking the familia out to the game -- my mom, my brother, my SIL, Rianna and Rhyan. Rhyan will be taking in her first baseball game at 4 months!!! And Rianna is very excited both that she gets to wear her new game shirt and that there will be fireworks after game. I'm just hoping the Diamondbacks can remember that they did have an offensive game once upon a time. On Saturday [livejournal.com profile] technosage and I will be taking in the second game of the Dbacks/Dodgers series. There will be Bob Melvin bobble heads involved! *glee*

- Next week is Comic Con!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is a very special day because it is the day that one of the kindest, smartest, most generous people I know graced this world. Happiest of birthdays, [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva! My world has become a shinier place this past year due to your bright presence in it! I am truly blessed to call you a friend! I hope the year ahead is filled with lots of love, laughter, friendship, and all the things that make you happy because no one deserves it more than you do, baby! *mwah*

* * *

And while I'm on topic of awesome women celebrating birthdays, I seemed to have missed a couple of important birthdays while I was in L.A. Happy belated birthday love to [livejournal.com profile] stormcloude and [livejournal.com profile] artemis112!!! I hope the year ahead brings all flavors of goodness your way!
Excellent long weekend in L.A. Can I still call it a "long weekend" when it's actually almost 6 days long? That's technically closer to a week than a weekend, but a weekend away sounds less as if I've been shirking my responsibilities than does an almost week away. *shrugs* Well, anyway, it was excellent.

So, in the interest of brevity, and the baseball game that I'm watching, here's the bulleted version of the weekend week awesome time spent in L.A.:

  • Wednesday: GEORGE FUCKING MICHAEL!!! While I can probably talk about the awesomeness that is George Michael forever, I doubt that any of you, except for [livejournal.com profile] azewewish, really share my boundless glee over the man and his music. So, because I really do love y'all, we're moving on. *g*

  • Thursday: I spent the day trying to wrangle a rental car. And "wrangle" really is the appropriate description. Damn Budget. *grumblebitchcomplain* But then it didn't matter at all, because the evening was spent in the lovely company of [livejournal.com profile] editorzon and [livejournal.com profile] azewewish for a screening of Wanted followed by a Q&A with one of the writers. Cut so that I can squee aloud about Wanted. Possibly spoilery. ) Basically? I loved the movie! So much so that we went back on Sunday to see it again and it was still amazing!

The Q&A afterward with Michael Brandt was really interesting. He was very forthright about the process for this movie and writing in Hollywood in general. It was fascinating.

And, of course, I got to enjoy the lovely company of two of my favorite women in the world! We hung out after the movie, chatting and laughing and striking up random conversations with strangers until we were all so exhausted we crawled home to pass out. Good times, I tell you!

  • Friday: I spent a lovely day with [livejournal.com profile] annkiri. We had a delicious brunch at Lulu's while we talked and laughed and generally got caught up with each other's lives. Then we drove to Culver City for much needed massages at the Massage Garage. By the end of the hour, I was a puddle of very happy goo.

Then on Friday night, [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva, [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_, [livejournal.com profile] azewewish and I went to the Dodgers/Angels game via a party bus from the House of Blues. We had fabulous box seats and yummy food. Chris Noth, aka Mr. Big, was also enjoying the game from a few seats away. We had an amusing conversation exchange about salad. Yeah. I don't even know. Also of the good was the great view we had of Vladimir Guerrero's ass. *g* I would have been happier if the Angels could have pulled off a win, but even so, we had a great time! Brenda, Jenna, Lisa, and Me! )

  • Saturday: Brenda, J, J's friend K, and I kicked off J's birthday celebration with yummy appetizers and drinks at The Grill. We were hilariously entertained by K's adventures of motherhood which included the funniest story EVAR involving lemon heads and butts. *laughs* I'll just say that I'll never think of a lemon drop in quite the same way.

After dinner, we headed across the courtyard meet up with [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon, [livejournal.com profile] _lisalisa_, [livejournal.com profile] annkiri, and a couple of J's other friends for a proper birthday celebration with the Nearly Naked and Totally Hot Hollywood Men )

Needless to say, we had a blast! Because I love my friends, though, I'll refrain from posting pictorial evidence of our rockin' good times with the nearly naked men! *g* I was, however, a little put off by the new way of coordinating lap dances, (they had everyone go up on stage instead of having the boys work the floor), so I didn't get as many as I otherwise would have. I did make it a point of getting one from Niko, and, as always, he delivered, with lots of yummy hair pulling and growliness and overall hotness. At one point he even hauled me up, turned me around, and spanked my ass quite nicely. *g* He certainly knows how to read his audience. *laughs* So, yes, I had a good time! And, most importantly, the Birthday Girl seemed to have had fun with good friends, plenty of booze, and a bevy of hot men.

  • Sunday: Casa Hooker was officially christened with a delicious house warming brunch featuring cinnamon pancakes, Blood Mary's, Mimosas, and CUPCAKES! I see nothing nutritionally unsound with this menu. There was, after all, vegetable and fruit juice with our alcohol. *g* Plus, it was DELICIOUS! It was also very good to see both [livejournal.com profile] aproposofnothin and [livejournal.com profile] sabrinagb, who I hadn't seen in way too long!

After brunch we saw Wanted again. And, as I've mentioned, it totally stood up to a second viewing. Later that night Brenda fixed her famous nachos and I whipped up a batch of my guacamole. Alison hung out with us and we watched Lucky Number Sleven, which neither Alison or I had watched, much to Brenda's horror. The movie was good, entertaining, if a bit too taken with it's own wit, but I don't know if I've ever seen Josh Hartnett looking hotter! Good gods, he was completely SEXASS, especially when killing people with eye glasses and baseballs! *bites lip*

And Brenda was right, I totally want Slevin/Wesley fic now! *grabby hands* Speaking of fic-wants, I also really want to read a crossover with John Winchester and Cross (and maybe even Mr. Goodkat) just talking about their sons, and fatherhood, and how they'd do anything for their boys. *sigh*

Ok. This took forever to write because it was not brief, despite the bullet points, and I ended up on T&iactute;a duty tonight and was therefore distracted. The baseball game is long over. (My D-backs won!) And I should probably be getting ready for bed so that I can be productive tomorrow and the rest of the week. Because next Tuesday I go back to L.A. for another "long weekend"! *laughs* I really will move there soon and then I can write about my long weekends back in Arizona. *g*
